nasher,
----------------------------------------Yes, you did fix your problem. Team members, If you store pictures on photo bucket to use in your WCG signature do not use your real name to set up the PB account ID, use your WCG ID or alias. Photo bucket puts your PB user ID in the path name. If you use your real name it is easy to find your identity by right clicking on the image in the WCG signature and click "view image". It will show the image and the full path name (which will include your ID). This is not a problem for some but myself I prefer to maintain my privacy.

The only software I can find that will resize an image on the fly is PHP and must reside on the WCG host.
----------------------------------------Cannot find any forum posts that discuss this issue as an enhancement or suggestion. It is possible to get by without this but it would make the signature a more reasonable size if large images are embedded.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions.
----------------------------------------I was looking for a solution "on the fly" without having to re-size the photo and upload to photo bucket. The goal is to be able to use any image on the web, put the url in my signature, and have it re-sized in my forum signature. Pure fantasy, I know!!! Okay, re-sizing the photo and uploading to photo bucket is the only way. Reminds me of the TV commercial where the mother calls the Progresso soup chef using tin cans and string. Low technology getting the job done. Other unanswered questions that keep me up at night: Don't you just love computers with knobs to control fan speed? If the knobs would turn based on temperature I could accept it. Unless they are an infant with no language skills why would anyone use a cell phone to text a message?

nasher,
----------------------------------------I like your 4th image as it is not so tall. Let's see what you can come up with to change your signature. The signature is a good place to put something that you don't want posted in perpetuity. And I like that the signature updates for every post on the forums. Seems like a good place to put a message you want to get to a lot of people.

Looks like C4CW is no longer on hold as I have received some work units.

My New Years resolution is to go Emerald in Run time/project and get Sapphire in CEP2, C4CW, DSFL, and GFAM.
----------------------------------------Have a good start already.

It seems as if nasher has a "brother"
- an aircraft carrier man living in Bremerton - crunching with WCG's new dynamic Team Crunching@EVGA. Viper97 is the name. |
