Could it be the lights flicker because you live near a known earthquake hazard? http://earthquake.usgs.gov/hazards/products/graphic2pct50.jpg

Quite literally I stumbled onto this link while reading forum threads.
----------------------------------------It is being posted here so that it will benefit all team members. This is not a secret, it is just not well advertised. World Community Grid's Active/Intermittent Research Dashboard http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q210/Sekerob/WCGYearsPi1Project.png If it is too small to read hold down the Ctrl-key and roll your mouse wheel. There is some very useful information in that image. Maybe it will help you select your projects to get the most badges or the highest color badges. Coupled with a new i7 and the above info I have gotten two sapphire badges and a couple of silver in the last week or two. Good luck everyone.

Your ribbon picture makes me reflect, rcc
- pick your colour so to speak - if you live long enough you may meet one of them - the good news is that they may be less aggressive as you grow older ![]() |

little mermaid,
----------------------------------------In this case you don't want a color. Unfortunately mine is Kelly Green. On your present team are you getting any C4CW work units? The dashboard link above shows the project on hold, while it is 60.65% complete, and with 303 days tasks left.

yes you never want a color ribbon... but when someone you knows or yourself gets one support it as well as others... expect my sig to change over the next few days as i redesign a signature to make one that works well.

little mermaid, I don't know about sputnick55, but my current Captain lamentsIn this case you don't want a color. Unfortunately mine is Kelly Green. On your present team are you getting any C4CW work units? The dashboard link above shows the project on hold, while it is 60.65% complete, and with 303 days tasks left. that the project is temporarily on hold, and I myself have not seen any for a long time. And, since I do have a colour I might as well get it diamond studded. Survivor since 2003. ![]() |

nasher,
----------------------------------------Thinking of others is admirable. I communicate with many survivors and they all believe we are in this together. If you will email me I will show you a privacy problem with signatures stored on photo sharing sites. Some may not consider this an issue but I do. Does anyone know of a way to reduce the size of an image that is posted on the web, on the fly? It would better fit in a signature. I don't care for very large images but sometimes cannot find a smaller copy so I am stuck using the large image.

I prefer smaller images, too.
Often I do a Google search and choose pictures and am able to use the sample thumbnail instead of the often much larger picture on the website where the real picture belongs. I would like to be able to reduce pictures in size on the fly as well, but know no way myself. Hope someone in the know will post about it. |
