@ Techs, CAs or Admins: According to the names of some files that seems to be the case. Can you confirm that the science software under the hood is LAMMPS (Large-scale Atomic/Molecular Massively Parallel Simulator)? |

So far I have seen only one error and it was in the initial copy of a repair WU I have got.
----------------------------------------The error message at the top of the Result Log was process exited with code 1 (0x1, -255) and the error message from the application (at the bottom) was ERROR: Out of range atoms - cannot compute PPPM after 41.814381 %. To my surprise mine went fine with nothing particular in its log. ---------------------------------------- [Edit 1 times, last edit by JmBoullier at Aug 7, 2010 9:00:39 AM] |

I got 6 WUs so far on 3 machines:

This can also be seen in the log: <core_client_version>6.2.28</core_client_version> <![CDATA[ <stderr_txt> Commandline = projects/www.worldcommunitygrid.org/wcg_beta12_lmps_6.10_windows_intelx86 -screen none -in in.wcg.acc -var wcgsteps1 1000 -var wcgsteps2 10000 -var loop 0 -var restart 0 -var rinterval 100 -var ifile in.wcg.acc -var wcgseed 210608664 [23:39:05] Percent complete = 0.909008 [23:42:33] Percent complete = 1.818017 [23:45:57] Percent complete = 2.727025 ... So I need to wait what the wingman comes up with.... I'll post again when the wingman's result is there. BTW: Machine3 is still crunching on a now already overdue DDDT2 WU (Estimates seemed to be a way off for proper scheduling). Beta WU there will be started in a couple of hours. Sorry on that delay. I think, I have a problem with the CPU time.
----------------------------------------(Suse 11.2 VM -client 6.2.15) After restart of the client 40 minutes ago the time was set back and the % are running ok. WUs are at 68% after 42 minutes- 1hour to go. Before restart it was showing ~ 30 % after 40 minutes (but WUs did run 90 minutes at that time) [Edit 1 times, last edit by Mathilde2006 at Aug 7, 2010 11:53:14 AM] |

Noticed that the elapsed time (shown within Boinc) is less than the actual CPU time that is reported.
----------------------------------------For example, Elapsed time 4.13, CPU time 4.98h. - seems to apply to all tasks I looked at. 3 Inconclusive results (all completed and only one task switched): Q8400 @2.66GHz (stock) 4GB RAM, Win7x64 Project Name: Beta Test Created: 06/08/10 Name: BETA_c4cw_beta1_000988979 Minimum Quorum: 1 Replication: 2 Quad Opteron @2.2GHz 2008R2x64 Project Name: Beta Test Created: 06/08/10 Name: BETA_c4cw_beta1_104240461 Minimum Quorum: 1 Replication: 2 i7-920 @2.66GHz XPx86 Project Name: Beta Test Created: 06/08/10 Name: BETA_c4cw_beta1_010450026 Minimum Quorum: 1 Replication: 2 <core_client_version>6.10.58</core_client_version> <![CDATA[ <stderr_txt> Commandline = projects/www.worldcommunitygrid.org/wcg_beta12_lmps_6.10_windows_intelx86 -screen none -in in.wcg.acc -var wcgsteps1 1000 -var wcgsteps2 10000 -var loop 0 -var restart 0 -var rinterval 100 -var ifile in.wcg.acc -var wcgseed 10450026 [21:11:58] Percent complete = 0.909008 [21:14:25] Percent complete = 1.818017 [21:16:52] Percent complete = 2.727025 [21:19:52] Percent complete = 3.636033 [21:26:50] Percent complete = 4.545041 [22:11:14] Percent complete = 5.454050 [01:25:46] Percent complete = 6.363058 [01:28:20] Percent complete = 7.272066 [01:30:52] Percent complete = 8.181074 [01:33:26] Percent complete = 9.090083 [01:33:33] Percent complete = 9.099173 [01:36:10] Percent complete = 9.999091 [01:38:43] Percent complete = 10.908099 [01:41:16] Percent complete = 11.817108 [01:43:50] Percent complete = 12.726116 . . . The 20,000 seems distributed.
----------------------------------------Since several hours I get only resends now and then (most of inconclusives) |

skgiven,
----------------------------------------Bet you for 10 Quatloos that your client is 6.10.56 or earlier and you had an unscheduled system or client restart, at least not a proper shutdown. If so, fixed in 6.10.58 or the WCG 6.10.57 kit (awaiting approval, but suspect that will get at least an point release update to the Berkeley recommended level 6.10.58 (for Win+Mac, Linux version still being tested). edit: no matter how fast one types, there always sneaks another post inbetween comment and reply... inserted address.

The 20,000 seems distributed. Since several hours I get only resends now and then (most of inconclusives) You bet yah, much faster than the 24 hours guess, lest uplinger had a hang of some kind like on the last halfway into a DDDT2 batch. There will likely have been many hand started tasks to have that happen. Meantime, there's always one meantime, repair/verification jobs trickle in now and then... this is the 3rd just seen in the queue :D
