I managed 12 tasks. Unfortunately, my 64-bit Ubuntu ran through 6 of them in 2 hours each, leaving me only half way to the bronze badge.

Not a one received. I guess I don't personally own the big iron resources to qualify.
Congrats to all who helped advance science. |

I've completed 8 WU's so far with 2 more to go. They all show an increasing Percent Complete msg in their logs except for the last one. It's entire log is shown below. No msgs on the client Messages tab to explain the difference. CPU runtime for that WU was the same as the other Beta WU on that machine.
(BTW - another WU that completed on the same machine at the same time has the Percent Complete msgs: BETA_ c4cw_ beta1_ 000033854_ 0--) BETA_ c4cw_ beta1_ 000085310_ 0-- Karen-PC Valid 8/7/10 07:54:51 8/7/10 13:55:39 3.64 63.3 / 74.9 Result Log Result Name: BETA_ c4cw_ beta1_ 000085310_ 0-- <core_client_version>6.2.28</core_client_version> <![CDATA[ <stderr_txt> Commandline = projects/www.worldcommunitygrid.org/wcg_beta12_lmps_6.10_windows_intelx86 -screen none -in in.wcg.acc -var wcgsteps1 1000 -var wcgsteps2 10000 -var loop 0 -var restart 0 -var rinterval 100 -var ifile in.wcg.acc -var wcgseed 85310 [ </stderr_txt> ]]> Sad to see that I will be about 10 hrs short of a Beta badge when my last 2 WU's finish. |

I have just finished 2 C4CW betas on W7, both completed perfectly well. Finished in less than half the initially indicated timeframe - I wouldn't mind having a few more!! First one Valid, second return yet to be registered on servers. No graphics.

@ Techs, CAs or Admins: According to the names of some files that seems to be the case. Can you confirm that the science software under the hood is LAMMPS (Large-scale Atomic/Molecular Massively Parallel Simulator)? Jean, and Sek, thanks for the confirmation. I am looking forward crunch this project. My stats for this test since yesterday: 59 Beta WU in total on 5 different machines running Ubuntu 64, Win 7-64, Vista 32, Vista 64 3 in progress 56 valid That looks like a very smooth and successful Beta test |

There are no more left to be sent. There are 9,924 in progress so there are likely to be a few resends but that is it. The error rate is currently at 3.7% so it is running well. There are a couple of things that we will look at to see if changes need to be made. Thank you very much Kevin. This time I got just few ones yesterday which granted me some days more to add in my Beta cumulative time, so my intention was just be in the right page to decides take action or not to change my profiles configs today. So, I will let back to standard config again. Regards.
Cheers ! GIB@

My Athlon 7750 running WinXP 32bit with Boinc 5.10.45 got 13 WUs and all of them had immediately an error with log
<core_client_version>5.10.45</core_client_version> <![CDATA[ <message> too many normally harmless exit(s) </message> ]]> Restarting the system did not help. Maybe the betas do not like WinXP with athlons... |

Not a one received. I guess I don't personally own the big iron resources to qualify. codes,There are no HW or reliability conditions for betas. Unless they need more memory than is available in a machine, including VM storage. My old P4HT 2.4 GHz has finished its two WUs in 12 hours CPU time, and the EeePC has still about 5 hours to go for an estimated 19-20 hours CPU time. It was just to widen the beta. I have already removed them from the beta page, and when this new project launches I will not select it for these two slow devices. |
