I snagged a few Beta WU's and have 1 problem WU :-(
BETA_c4cw_beta1_256846989_0 has been stuck at 12.462% for quite some time. Running Windows xp 32bit SP3, Boinc 6.10.58, Intel C2D 1.66GHz 1GB RAM. It seems to only be trying to use 17MB of RAM whereas all the other WU I have use near 80MB. I've rebooted my computer to no avail, I will abort the WU in the next 15 minutes. |

Ever so curious, there are requests for new work, it's confirmed they are being granted, but no actual download, yet new tasks appearing. Could this be similar to HPF2 and I think RICE, where a bit is flipped to assign a mol from a database that's already been downloaded?

I finished 2 Beta's and downloaded 2 more. Hoping to finally get a Beta badge with this round.
Like Sekerob, I also noticed that they are appearing without the usual 'downloading' msgs. |

I snagged a few WUs myself. My PC ones seem to have been successful so far, even through a sudden (that is, not normal) reboot which is nice. Mac remains uncrunched. Looks like the only work available this second is committed to Linux. Both Mac and PC say work committed to 'other platforms.' Rats

Like Sekerob, I also noticed that they are appearing without the usual 'downloading' msgs. I have seen it too.Something else which looks strange is a WU taking 3 checkpoints in 10 seconds sometime although the Write-To-Disk is set to 60 seconds and the "normal" interval is about 7 minutes for this device. I have not yet tried to see if this is happening often and/or for every WU at certain stages. |
