Yes this does seem to like Linux x64. I have 2 i7 920's one running Ubuntu x64 and one running Vista x64. The linux one is doing about 3 hrs where the Vista one is around 5 hours.
So all the badge hunters should switch to windows |

Pete, there are still plenty of betas left (I think), I just grab my last one (for a least a few hrs -- maxed out) a few mins ago on my windows system. Is there a max number of WU's you can receive? If there is, how many WU's are we talking about? |

A device can get 1 per BOINC allowed core/thread. Finish a Beta and the same client can apply for a new one... this way the whole test gets spread over many more devices of the widest assortment of CPU/OS combo's... and less disgruntlement because those on the button were hoarding them in large numbers :D

You can get one beta WU per core on the computer. Quad core = 4 WU.
Quad core with hyperthreading = 8 WU. |
