Refering to this post by Bill Bover, I would like to allude, that the week of August 2nd has begun...
So I assume that I am not the only one, who is like cats on a hot tin roof and waiting for some cute ß-wu's to take care for... So, let's see when they will arrive... |

Hi bbover3,
If it is known, please post system requirements for the upcoming beta units. If the RAM requirements are too steep, a lot of workstations will crash or users will abort WUs. It has been known to happen lately... |

totto73 hunting for ß-wu's? Correct! Of course I also wan't to improve this badge aswell... If I would have done my first steps with linux several days earlier, I could also be near to my ruby badge. But who could expect, that a normal announced ß-test turns into an excessive and endless orgy of inexhaustible ß work units... So, this is now my chance to get at least my gold badge... And I also hope, that the Windows ß-test will last at least as long as for linux... |

yes i am hopeing for the new beta's to appear but i have given up trying to force my computers to get them and hopefully each beta run i will get at least 1.. i have 9 days 8 hours of beta's done and that means i only need 5 days 16 hours of beta's for my badge.

I need about 7 days of betas for gold so I'm hoping for a decent number of WU's spread over a few days so I can have a chance to snag what I need.

totto,
patience :) We are still working through some items before we can launch in Beta. But we are working actively towards the goal of launching a beta before end of week. Again, if something major comes up we will need to push the Beta back (This was my general clause of no guarantee for a beta this week, but I would not read too much into this). Thanks, -Uplinger |

Hey Uplinger,
----------------------------------------thanx for the info...!!! You know me, when there is a chance to improve my badges (actual I'm missing less than 36 hrs. for ß-gold) I'm getting impatient like a little child!!! And currently it's also a little bit "worse" than usual, because there is not constant wu flow, where I can improve any badge. Most of my riggs (all except of 2) are productive servers, where I can't just switch to linux to get my blue CEP2 badge. Concerning the sentence "if something major comes up", I do trust in your great work, and I know that the chance, that I will catch some ß's this week, is >99.9%... So, all you guys from IBM/WCG, keep on doing your job as good as usual (and I know you will do so ), and then we crunchers are happy...
