Re: New Beta Test Started

I have received 2 on each of my two machines (Ubuntu 10.04).

I had just installed a kernel update on one of the machines when I noticed that the two betas had arrived, so I had to restart the machine so the update would take.

I can report that after shutting down BOINC, shutting down and restarting the machine, and restarting BOINC, the betas resumed just fine.

It looks as if the estimated time to completion started out high and is coming down quickly.

Great to have these to crunch on! :) smile

Re: New Beta Test Started

Graphics but for the frame and progress info are generally blank, so unimpressive would indeed apply (as commented in the hobbit thread).

But, no graphics frame open here on my Linux box, the one and only I set to pull a few.

Memory with 4 running concurrent:

- ETA: 160 minutes steady from nearly the start, and now indicating 33% at 55 minutes, but then after a few hundred CEP2 jobs still have them indicating depending on the client mood to show between 8.5 and 14 hours and really completing in 6 or less.
- VM - steady 87 MB
- Working set: 77MB
- Memory: 77MB

So, I do not understand the values uplinger announced... 500MB
