You do not make Helsinki sound like a very nice place to visit Cheers It is very beautiful city on those days when there is -25'C (-13'F) and six beaufort... On another days it is crime against humanity... Well hails are also very nice... Apropoo, I did have my own drug run there on once upon week... I went to dentist and I usually end up having full of laughing gas, but this time I did choose sedation.. Was my first time. Concept is that they will dose benzodiazepine and opiate directly to vein. It was like sledgehammer to head, I remember needle on my forearms and lights out..... Next item that I can remember, was that I was floating on chemical euphoria wake up and whisper "turn that opiate faucet bigger".. Darn I have been there like some junkie begging more heroin....Darn.... Worst case is that I can remember it recur two more time. On these cases I was so much more sophisticated that I just raise my another hand from elbow to get more "service" from "waitress".... I did get what I want and continue floating somewhere over the rainbow.. S*it, it so embarrassing....... Next thing I remember that I was on recovery room and doctor tell me that they gave me some heavy dose so I should sleep now well... I did and when wake get my gears and left home... I notice that there is two items that you should not perform after been pumped up valium and morphine. 1. Sip beer 2. Turn cellular on I did both...... Floating stuff came back after one beer and I get this king idea to turn my cellular on. First I get text message from dental clink and they ask me to call them on first possible chance. I did, they were worried as he** because one patient is missing (me).. Then it come to my mind that it was not so good idea to leave because I felt like that matters is more comfortable on home. I told that I so very fine and please try breath there. I also wrote to doctor and apologize that I left like that, next time I will promise to wait permission to leave and I'm so very fine.. Wont happen again.... Then I start to get some panic calls from office, there was some emergency going on there and I have this feeling that they expect me to do something about it... I remember that I did not share they opinion about seriousness of situation, I was more on this Mediterranean manjana kind of state of mind. Time after time and for everybody.. Darn...... ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by ultimaThule at May 5, 2011 8:11:03 PM] |

That has to be a dentist appointment to remember. Maybe you should stick to the laughing gas.
----------------------------------------It was many years ago I was put under to get my wisdom teeth out. I think they used soduim pentathol(?) or something like that. I remember trying to count backwards from 10. The last number I remember is 8. When I woke up I remember having one whale of a headache. I do not think the sedation agreed with my brain very well. I am glad I only had to have that done once. Cheers

I do not think the sedation agreed with my brain very well. I am glad I only had to have that done once. Cheers I think they have use general anesthesia on your case. I agree, it is more like violent experience, I did also wake up very ill after my surgery. On this dental stuff here, there is three level, light sedation (laughing gas), deep sedation (benzo+opiate) and general anesthesia. Last one you cannot breath yourself, middle one you still can (if everything goes as planned).. I asked what are drugs used on deep sedation and those are liquid valium and synthetic heroin, so as my personal experience it is total opposite to general anesthesia. Last one more like this he** kind of stuff and deep sedation heaven.. Regarding Wikipedia this Rapifen is 10-25 stronger than morphine, so I'm sure you can count something out of it. Only thing that really get suffered was my ego.. I have always thought that I'm one of those citizens who has spine and everything. If my remembrance are real ones, then I have been whine more dosages like worst case junkie.... Darn, I'm maggot ![]() ![]() [Edit 2 times, last edit by ultimaThule at May 6, 2011 7:48:59 AM] |

I remembered nothing while I was out, which I think is just fine. Cheers

Well, now that it has warmed, finally, we seem to have entered the rainy season. Was hoping to get the garden in sometime this week, but now it is too wet. A week ago it was too cold. With all this rain, the onslaught of mosquitos can not be far behind. The woodticks are already out in force. AHHHH, the joys of springtime.

I went storm chasing tonight with my wife and son.
----------------------------------------At 8:15 PM tonight we chased the funnel from the 169 and 494 area all the way to hwy 7 and hwy 100. It was moving slow, about 15 mph. It went right over Microcenter and then west and north of downtown mpls. We forgot the good camera we left in such a hurry. Only had the cell phone camera. The wall cloud had some awesome striation and rotation when it went over hwy 100. We stayed right on the edge of the big hail so no damage to the car. So COOL!!! ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at May 11, 2011 2:58:22 AM] |

You storm chase on your own or for the county? Looks like we are in for a rough summer. St cloud got lucky as a red cell popped over us and built up toward foley. Looks like tomorrow might be another hot and stormy day. Stay safe!
----------------------------------------Shut down both crunchers this afternoon. Got way to hot and humid. To early in the season for air conditioner. Supposed to be cooler Thursday though.
Crunching for humanity since 2007!

Omigosh, that's quite the storm chase story (and quite the hailstone photo!).
----------------------------------------It's hard to believe that just days ago I was quoting Sgt Joe's line about Feb. 91st to everyone, and now we've had mid-90's highs already. No wonder there are storms with those sudden changes. Stay safe, everyone. ![]() |
