Re: Minnesota Crunchers

Who's ready for more snow? Channel 5 says 3 to 5 from St cloud north, Duluth could get 6 to 12. Looks like old man winter just doesn't want to let go. Yuck!

Re: Minnesota Crunchers

Snow? I still have a sore back from the first storm of the season. Pulled a muscle in my lower back and it just does not want to heal.

And just when the driveway has dried out from the melt. I knew I took care of the ruts too soon. laughing

Re: Minnesota Crunchers

Yes sir, primegrid. Had to get my 321sieve badge to gold before it ended.
Here are all the primes I have found so far...
395*2^797849+1 240180 (decimal)
783*2^797237+1 239996 (decimal)
2973*2^662136+1 199327 (decimal)
1485*2^655977+1 197472 (decimal)
7425*2^655794+1 197418 (decimal)
5489*2^654331+1 196977 (decimal)
4917*2^651311+1 196068 (decimal)
7183*2^650518+1 195830 (decimal)
7595*2^650125+1 195712 (decimal)
9903*2^645282+1 194254 (decimal)
6225*2^643774+1 193800 (decimal)
8145*2^639654+1 192559 (decimal)
8115*2^617718+1 185956 (decimal)
All of them are Proth primes.
Now I'm back getting some more Clean Water units.

Going birding in Texas Monday - Friday next week. The peak bird migration usually is in full swing in the South Padre Islands every year at this time. Warblers, and others, from Costa Rica will fly the entire gulf and rest on the Islands here before heading to Canada. Can't wait! biggrin

That's a pretty impressive stable of primes there! 11 primes -- a prime number of primes!

Have a great trip!

Re: Minnesota Crunchers

One good thing about the cooler weather, can keep my crunchers and GPU crunching at 100%. Wasnt looking forward to reducing the cores when it was a bit warm.

Kate, figure out your core issues?

Re: Minnesota Crunchers

Pulled a muscle in my lower back and it just does not want to heal.

That is exactly what I thought had happened to me until I realized I was passing a stone. Ouch!

Re: Minnesota Crunchers

Definitely something not to blow off. If it's been awhile and still bothering you, suggest you get it looked at before it becomes a major issue.

"Might look like a grain of sand, but felt like a boulder."

Quote from a co-worker many years ago who had a kidney stone attack 30' feet up a utility pole in the winter time. Nothing to fool around with.

Re: Minnesota Crunchers

That reminds me of a student from 10 years ago or so who had kidney stone and was so grateful when it passed that he put it in a little jar and brought it into the department to show off to everyone.

Bearcat -- haven't even taken time to try messing with the BIOS again. I got so far behind while I was sick that I'm still just putting out fires to try to catch up. As you said, with the return of cooler weather, the cores issue can take a back seat for a bit. I'll let you know how it goes.
