Re: Minnesota Crunchers

Now this is just ridiculous hot. I heard somewhere that we were the hottest city in the nation. Now that's just messed up. Some thermometers are at 105!

Re: Minnesota Crunchers

Hello fellows smile

My neighborhood has become dry as bone.
Here on costline temperature is +25'C (+77'C), 60 miles up to north where cold sea does not effect anymore, there is +30'C (+86'F).
Forecast predict hotter for hold week.

Really do not know current sityation, but on middle of last month on some part ground water was almost two feet under average.
After that there has not been any real rains...

Unit on that map is centimeter, 2,5 = inch, 30 = feet.

Re: Minnesota Crunchers

Yesterday, I recorded 104. Am hoping this isn't a warning for what's coming this summer. To hot for me. Had to turn on the AC and reduce the cores on my 2 computers. Bumped them back up today. Finally selling my octo harpertown rig Saturday. Had to take a bit of a loss but that's part of keeping up with the new tech. Saving up for a pair of six pack westmere chips to replace my quads I have now. My production will be reduced after Saturday.

I think it is too late...
Here 40-60% of rainfall will turn to ground water and yearly amount is 20 inch..
Now when ground is dry as bone, I think even 40% rate would be way too optimistic.

Conifers seems to do fine. Deciduous trees, especially birches look little bit nuked...

Maybe this area will turn Europe's own Kalahari.
Would of course be called Great Boner or something..
