OK just to even it out a bit here's my pop at Apple for the day
----------------------------------------I'm doing a spot of Coldfusion development and I've been office bound all day so I think hey I'll remote desktop in from Emily's Mac and join the Family. Now if any one is familiar with the inner workings of Coldfusion MArkup Language you will know that the way any variable is output to the browser is to surround it with a couple of Hashes you know like <cfoutput>#IWouldLikeThistoAppearonaScreen#</cfoutput> now I'm sure all the web heads of the world develop their code on a Mac so.... why no # key Apple? What a lemon hunting the # key It's blatently obvious you press ALT and then the 3 key Not ![]() |

It's an extra patch day today to counter the spreading animated mouse bug that seems to affect most versions of windows:
----------------------------------------While at it..... be prepared to soon download IE 7 NT (No Tabs).... Mozilla is suing MS for 1.4 billion: Mozilla malträtiert Microsoft mit Milliardenklage (M maltreats - ill-treats - MS with billions complaint) http://www.heise.de/newsticker/meldung/87582 Use Bablefish to translate from Hoch Deutsch if you will.

Well the mouse ani patch is here (7 in 1), 3 months after first discovery of the hole, now declared super highly critical.... go and get it:
----------------------------------------Microsoft's out-of-band update for the critical — and under attack — animated cursor (.ani) vulnerability has finally crossed the finish line, one week ahead of Redmond's own schedule but more than three months after it was first reported by a private security research company. The MS07-017 update, which should be considered super high-priority, includes patches for a total of seven vulnerabilities, three affecting Windows Vista. In addition to Windows Vista, the update applies to Windows 2000 SP4, Windows XP SP2, Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2003 SP1, and Windows Server 2003 SP2.... continued Added: ~~ The patch causes issues for those with Realtek Audio, for which a hotfix is offered: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/935448/

It's in the Firefox extension thread: IE TAB
---------------------------------------- Ah yes that's better so much better in a Firefox Wrapper You don't feel so much of the Borg that way. Stupidly I thought I'd give Win2K3 SP2 another whirl. Thinking they might have sent me a patch to patch the fact that the patch wouldn't patch all the holes that the patch should have patched previously but....SP2 removal wizards are doing their thing - again hopefully normal service will be resumed ![]() |
