An the moral of the tale

for the moment don't install (no) service pack 2 on a win2K3 Server.

Now they have announced all the holes and given us nothing to plug them with.

You know I think they will go far those Microsoft characters

Re: It's International restart your Windows Cruncher day

Right normal service is resumed and the automatic update is now switched firmly off.

I just go see the Flings Kittens to chill a mo and then onto something more productive in life

Re: It's International restart your Windows Cruncher day

Now here's a sad one from Redmond, the stream never ending: Installed East Asian Language fonts to get rid of the ???????? to show proper Japanese character.... just 230mb because the boys near Seattle than assume u also want to use the writing tools.... Comes on board on this Monday, not Tuesday, a pushed down notification for an urgent fix to prevent hijacking thru the Korean input feature. The fix is version 1.1 :O

http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/Bulletin/ms06-009.mspx

Anyway, now with a translation tool we can 'understand' what our new Japanese members have to ask..... I dare not respond in Kanji or anything, for the tools could translate into a very bad joke....

Seriously, if someone can recommend a good web translation tool for East Asian to western, I'm all ear.

How about the online translation tool from Google, smile.

Re: It's International restart your Windows Cruncher day

Thank for the pointer to the Google translator.

On that 351mb SDK download.... usually i read all before allowing to download the patches (it's an auto-update option) and un-ticked and permanently hid it from future offerings...... this is MS bullone (not sure how it's spelled in english as i meant that particular Italian edible that in the english dialect became some cuss word)). 'Bullone' translates as bolt (on) which MS does try to sneak in all the time.

Dave, i seem to have read 'SP2 for W2k3 server released silently'.... they did not want to blow the trumpet, for they knew there were issues....... yes they Redmond guys know their 'customers' !!!!!!!!!!!
