Re: Where to hang out for 2 month downtime

Acibant, checking the server status page, I got some of the final Eprot v1, Run 3 tasks before it switched over to the latest project. Maybe whatever issue I found has already been resolved with the new work?

I remember a few WCG tasks that would run slower if started at the same time. Possibly that's the case here. Time will tell.

Edit - Milkyway is back and is flush with work units again.
Tasks ready to send: 1,648,856

Dreamlab is available for iPhones too. I would imagine that Dreamlab would crunch faster on them Apple chips. Hopefully. a few volunteers from WCG would contribute.

The Cancer project would be done in 2-3 months (perfectly coincides with the downtime)

P.S. - Dreamlab only works when the mobile device is connected to a charger. Hence, preferred for people who charge their mobile overnight

If taking a break from crunching, suggest clean and update the systems.
For Ubuntu this just in:

I am ending my support for SiDock and aborting my active tasks.
While the project is headquartered in Slovenia, the majority of the researchers are headquartered in Moscow and employed by the government.

They do not deserve the good PR that could come out of our contributions.

Re: Where to hang out for 2 month downtime

I've decided to look at the milky way for our vacation from WCG. I'll also be using the time to do some machine maintenance.

Hope to see you all back here in 2 months.

Re: Where to hang out for 2 month downtime

Before joining I had debated that question.

Yes registered in .si but really in .ru. My bias told me I knew why a .si. Because .ru has a bad rap and it would not get people enthused to join in especially not with that crypto login on the front page (it's gone). But they are still on the VirusTotal hit list. So no new tasks.

Is there anyone outside of North America with this same view.

Thanks for pointing this out. I had seen the domain and not made any connection to Russia myself. Even if I had, things have obviously changed quite recently, putting scientific cooperation even on projects such as the International Space Station in jeopardy.
