I have also several valid WUs (Mac and Windows), where wingmen got an error or invalid.

Is anybody seeing large amounts of invalids or PVer on linux? I don't think I have seen a report mentioning linux in this thread. I run openSUSE Leap and have not seen any invalids, and only one PVer (which has been waiting for days for the second wingman) out of some 200-250 WUs. PVer can also result from hardware problems like overheating CPUs, bad memory, etc, so I wonder if this one PVer I have seen is due to that and linux is immune to the general problem being discussed here? But then one user is pretty low number statistics and there are far more windows than linux boxes...

Is anybody seeing large amounts of invalids or PVer on linux? Most of my cores are on Linux, but the latest tally is: Win7_X64 = 64 invalid Win8_X64 = 10 invalid Win10_X64= 11 invalid Linux (Mostly Mint 13_X64) = 0 invalid ![]() |

Unfortunately haven't yet received any HST work units this end I only have one single return here for HST; waiting for it on three separate servers. The ball has gotten dropped a number of times on this project |

Neither that quoted post nor yours are on topic. There's a Limited Workunits thread for this, if you wish to mope.

Statistics from a large account: 430 live HST non-error result records on the RS pages, 24 are in PVer or Invalid state i.e. 6%. (PVer automatically has at least 1 of 3 crunched copies rated invalid). If 6% were the project cross-section number, then on the 103 years validated as of last night, there's ~6 runtime years included that did not really pass scrutiny (remember that invalid get counted for statistics, though they are binable).

My current statistic is:
----------------------------------------71 Pending Validation 120 Valid 1 Pending Verification 3 Invalid But these 3 invalid were the first invalids since project start and I have more than 1250 valid wu. So my percentage of invalids is way lower (0.24%) than the supposed 6%... ![]() |

You yourself indicated the crunchers on your account are not a cross-section representation. ~10% or less of the devices at WCG is Linux... and the world of Mac share is pity-full if you consider their part. Also, the alarm bells go off [by old measure], when 5% and more has a validation problem.
