As per armstrdj there's a yet to be pinpointed issue with AMD processors run results of HST1. If you see larger number of invalid, quit running this science on the affected host.

I don't believe the problem is just AMD processors. My pharm is 99% AMD and of the 300+ cores, I have only seen a few invalids running linux Ubuntu/Mint but about 90% invalids running Windoz 7 and 10_X64. The one box with a 1090T running Windoz 8.1_X64 runs just fine and almost all resulting in valid (might have had 1 or 2 invalid). I have since pulled ALL the windoz boxes off this project and only running a few linux boxes that seem to get work until the issue is corrected.

Hi. I'm getting some invalids and PVer (which could also end up invalid) on a PC with Intel Pentium G3250 and Ubuntu 14.04 x86. This is a new computer, but has been returning all valid results from the other projects, and most of HST1.

Running an iMac 27" and two Mac Book Pros - all 64 bit intel processors under the latest El Capitan (10.11.4). I'm getting a few Invalid (11 pending validation, 3 pending verification, 4 valid, 4 invalid). In addition validation and verification seem to take forever (7 days or more). I do not have this problem with any other project.
----------------------------------------Also (off subject slightly) Help Stop TB is very mean with the point count generating a meagre 105 points per hour of CPU time compared with other projects generating 150 (FAH2) and 130 (OET).

A quick update from this morning.
----------------------------------------Of 136 results now contributed I have 10 Invalid, 1 PVa, 6 PVe and 13 in progress. Owing to the unacceptable rate of Invalid WUs and also the poor points yield I have now temporarily stopped contributing to this project. Please get it sorted soon.

Every work unit completed has been invalid with two other crunchers getting valid results. I've no idea why this is the case as I've had no problems with other projects.
----------------------------------------Running Windows 10 on AMD FX8300 with 32 GB of RAM. WCG results status claims that this machine is still running Windows 8.1, which it was when it was signed up but the OS has since been upgraded. I'm stopping crunching on this project for a few months to give them time toy get this problem sorted out. ![]() [Edit 2 times, last edit by PeaceRiverGuy at Apr 30, 2016 3:24:23 AM] |

Re "Running Windows 10 on AMD FX8300 with 32 GB of RAM"
----------------------------------------Everybody may 'but', but this is the stated situation being worked on: We have released the HST1 binary for 32 bit windows. We are still looking into the validation issues related to AMD processors. Thanks, armstrdj [Apr 13, 2016 11:08:15 PM] Emphasis mine. What has not come to light yet is, if the new Windows 32 bit build science app v.7.16 has similar PVer > Invalid pathway for some/more/many AMD processors, either on 32 or 64 bit OSses. No news, is good news with respect to the 32 bit app result crunched on AMD. [Edit 1 times, last edit by SekeRob* at Apr 30, 2016 10:00:50 AM] |

On a Phenom II x6, Ubuntu 14.04 x64, two errored WUs:

If errored out on-device it belongs in another/new thread. This one is about an unspecified PVer > Invalid sequence.
