Have 2 that went from PV to Invalid

Hi SekeRob, sorry, I was out visiting people for most of the day - and only just got back.
----------------------------------------Thus, in reply to your query, I've got two machines here, both quad-core, and both Lenovo. Lenovo T550 - Microsoft Windows 8.1 Core x64 Edition, (06.03.9600.00) Lenovo T410 - Microsoft Windows 7 Professional x64 Edition, Service Pack 1, (06.01.7601.00) As yet, I haven't been convinced enough to try Windows 10 out - so my newest machine (the T550) is definitely running a Win 8.1 OS.  |

In looking at each WU the ones that have completed but are PV, the ones that are different OS and Boinc versions have different checkpoints in both time of checkpoint and number of checkpoints between steps.The _2 has not returned a result yet. it is Darwin 15.4.0. Not sure this relevant or not.

FWIW, I have 7 pages of "Pending validation" with a mix of OS - Linux, Win-7 (home & pro) and Win-10. So far, none "Invalid"

Checked over my results and the only two invalid I have are on Clean Energy.
----------------------------------------For the HST units, I went through two pages of valid work on my Professional x64 Edition, (10.00.10586.00) system. It has validated with windows 7, windows 8.1, windows 10, Server 2008, and one that just says windows. Pretty much covers the range of available combinations and not a single invalid.  |

Hi RTorpey, it's not Pending Validation that's the issue here - it's Pending Verification.
----------------------------------------Pending Validation is a natural event when two or more WU's are required to produce results so as to ensure that they're Valid. Pending Verification is where two results have been returned, but for some reason, they haven't agreed with each other - and thus, another WU is sent out to be the deciding factor. This "in theory" should be a very rare occurrence with a project such as HST, where two WU's are sent out - and hence, the result of this threads existence, to try and see if there's any particular reason as to why this seems to be happening more than usual. |

I would guess that I have had about 5 or 6 of these Pending Verification tasks. All have been converted to Valids over time. They have since disappeared from my view.
My system is: Microsoft Windows 8.1 Core x64 Edition, (06.03.9600.00) Which is really a Windows 10 "upgrade" Lenovo, |
