I'm wondering if this is another AMD vs Intel vs OS convlict where only intel would validate with another intel CPU like we had with the launch of a previous project. As my crunching farm is almost exclusively AMD, could this be the reason for my higher rate of invalids?
----------------------------------------I think the invalid rate will begin to drop on it's own as the windows users get tired of wasting their time/money crunching on this project and are rewarded with mostly invalids, and move on to other projects. Once again this appears to be a linux only project as I have seen only two invalid with 300+ cores on linux and the majority of work on windows ending up invalid. ![]() |

Is anybody seeing large amounts of invalids or PVer on linux? I don't think I have seen a report mentioning linux in this thread. It depends what you mean by large. I've had 1/16 HST1 invalid under Linux. For a solid Core2Duo machine, I'd call anything over zero unusual. |

We have started a beta test to test a windows 32 bit build as well as a possible fix to help reduce the number of invalids.

My 1/16 invalid under Linux is now 2/29.
----------------------------------------Now 3/65 invalid. All linux. All Intel. No AMD. [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Apr 24, 2016 8:04:29 AM] |

It seems there is an issue with the AMD processors in this story.
"We are still seeing varying results from different AMD processors. We are investigating this." Thanks, armstrdj " emphasis mine. Reads as if this is not resolvable by creating a homogeneity group just for AMD, as their results are 'varying'. An interesting point for the users helping error tracking would be to also have the CPU info printed on the Work Unit distribution page. The adding of the OS info was already a great help in determining it was not operating system specific. |

About 1/3 of my HST WUs run on AMD (Opteron 6168 and 6376), all running openSUSE Leap. I have not seen a single invalid result so far out of a little over a half years worth of work on all my cores.

After pausing some time i gave TB another try.
But I got 50 of 50 WUs invalid on my AMD FX-8350 with Windows7home. This is something around 100%, i hope it will not increase more... For the moment i will stop Testing Beta on this machine. The positive thing is, that i got 50% of the credits. |
