Owing to the unacceptable rate of Invalid WUs and also the poor points yield I have now temporarily stopped contributing to this project. Seems like the best course of action. Other work provides slightly higher credit without taking 30+ hours each too. |

I'm seeing a much higher than expected invalid rate on Macs. As of now, we have ~3,705 PV, ~1,695 valid, and 29 invalid. Of the 29 invalid, 25 are Mac workunits. The campus has way more Windows than Mac (probably 95% Win, 5% Mac), so the invalid rate for Macs seems disproportionately high.
----------------------------------------Most of the invalids are iMacs (i5, 10.10.5), one is a Mac Pro (Xeon, 10.11.4). Have the techs been seeing a high invalid rate on OS X? ![]() |

Running also on a MacBook Pro (I7 2.5GHz, OSX 10.11.4), and seeing quite some invalids. Right now I have 6 invalids in the list of Help Stop TB WUs completed on this machine.

Today I can see a lot of wu went to invalid (23 wu). They were all returned this morning within a hour of time. The _0 and _1 (means wingman and I) returned invalid and wu was sent out out to three new computers.
----------------------------------------Edit: Now 33 wu invalid and I have some resends where _0 and _1 was invalid. I suppose these resends will go to invalid.... ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by Eric_Kaiser at May 13, 2016 6:47:33 AM] |

2 invalid is a very strange distribution scenario, then 3 more sent out. [Edit 1 times, last edit by SekeRob* at May 13, 2016 6:54:44 AM] |

2 invalid is a very strange distribution scenario, then 3 more sent out. Now 41.... My invalids are on intel i7 with 64-bit linux or 64-bit windows 10. One example with the 3 more sent outs (I received replication _4): Project Name: Help Stop TB Created: 05/11/2016 11:03:06 Name: HST1_001995_000100_AC0020_T001_F00075_S00002 Minimum Quorum: 2 Replication: 3 Result Name OS type OS version App Version Number Status HST1_ 001995_ 000100_ AC0020_ T001_ F00075_ S00002_ 4-- Linux 3.19.0-30-generic - In Progress HST1_ 001995_ 000100_ AC0020_ T001_ F00075_ S00002_ 3-- Linux 3.2.0-56-virtual - In Progress HST1_ 001995_ 000100_ AC0020_ T001_ F00075_ S00002_ 2-- Linux 2.6.32-504.1.3.el6.x86_64 - In Progress HST1_ 001995_ 000100_ AC0020_ T001_ F00075_ S00002_ 1-- Linux 4.5.0-2-amd64 714 Invalid HST1_ 001995_ 000100_ AC0020_ T001_ F00075_ S00002_ 0-- Linux 2.6.32-573.7.1.el6.x86_64 714 Invalid ![]() |

All Linux? Linux 4.5.0-2-amd64 is interesting in that I just pushed this kernel into my 16.04 LTS up from 4.4, then pushed on to 4.5.3, but get 100% valid [UGM]. With 2 invalid, the 2 first cancelling each other out is novel. Not seeing the distribution times which gives away the which caused which to go out.

I have the same happening here, all on Intel i5 or i7, Win 10 64bit. Nothing unusual in any of the Result Logs and none have any restarts. All Invalids are T001; a T325 running at the same time as some of them turned Valid. This is one example:

Looks like what Eric said, 3 more copies going out simultaneous.
----------------------------------------Before had one T001 original, but that went valid, in fact after 235 for HST have yet to incur a single invalid or error. Got a T325 and a T300 _4 going... maybe I'm going to suspend them for a little and see what tech-front has to say later today. It's good old TGIF, so it's 'out to do the groceries' now :( [Edit 1 times, last edit by SekeRob* at May 13, 2016 7:51:23 AM] |
