It will not run any CPU projects at the same time with the app_info file unless you also add them into the file. Edit your device profile at WCG so that only HCC is checked and choose "Allow work on CPU": NO. Save and then run an update command in BOINC. I do not want to calculate cpu, gpu I calculations. 23/10/2012 07:45:05 | World Community Grid | Scheduler request failed: HTTP internal server error ![]() [Edit 2 times, last edit by Former Member at Oct 23, 2012 5:46:31 AM] |

Thanks nano. My new card comes in thursday so will wait until I do the swap to see if I still have issues. Hopefully not, please post any issues that may pop up from this fix. This fix has stopped the driver reset issue which caused all WUs to stop running. I still get the occassional single stuck WU on cards running multiple WUs at the same time. I saw this same issue on POEM all the time. Just pause the stuck task and all the ones in your cache, wait a few seconds and then restart them. The stuck task will resume although it may restart from the beginning.
In 1969 I took an oath to defend and protect the U S Constitution against all enemies, both foreign and Domestic. There was no expiration date.

Seems it hits this glitch at night while sleeping. Seeing a gpu wu at 45 minutes sucks to wake up to. Wish they had some sort of about code if it passes 15 minutes and not completed. Appreciate the help.

I'm guessing the 7900 is the 7970 and the 79x0 is the 7950? Is the "AMD Radeon HD 7700 series (Cape Verde) 690 90 180" result confirmed?
PS: OpenCL is the thing to go for, both sides can do it and as I recall it works without getting down to the nitty gritty of micromanaging how the gpu will perform the task, so the coding department can focus on coding what the task is. Atleast that is what I got from a presentation about the newest OpenCL features a few weeks back. |

Is the "AMD Radeon HD 7700 series (Cape Verde) 690 90 180" result confirmed? Not sure why this question. Should all figures be confirmed? Anyway: the average of last 280 results of single running tasks on my 7770 (i7 2600 HT) elapsed 153 seconds and during that time 84 cpu seconds used. |

In case anyone wants to try the new AMD Catalyst 12-10 drivers, they provide about a 25% increase in speed on my HD 7770 on POEM (Win7 64-bit). I haven't seen much difference on HCC yet, but those work units vary more in speed, and it would probably take a longer-term average to see the difference.

I'm hoping that disabling Aero may be the last piece of this puzzle. Stay tuned.

Stay tuned. I got a few stuck work units on POEM when I was running multiple work units on an HD 7770 with the previous drivers (12.8 or 12.6), and I never run Aero, so I doubt that Aero is it. |

Just because Aero didn't stop the problem at POEm doesn't mean it won't make a difference here. Only time will tell.
