I wonder what impact C++ AMP will bring to the market. It's relatively new, but seems to be "better" than OpenCL in most aspects. (C99? Really?) ![]() 3 years ago, but now witht OpenCl 2.1 that's not true... |

They have far better OpenCl support because they allow it. NVIDIA uses CUDA. Which is currently, better (read: more mature). But thats because its older, and has had millions of dollars thrown into making it better. I do suspect OpenCl will catch up eventually, but currently it has not. I wonder what impact C++ AMP will bring to the market. It's relatively new, but seems to be "better" than OpenCL in most aspects. (C99? Really?) ![]() people are still writing ASM, including this year with cutting edge video codecs like AV1... ![]() |
