Also, was running GPUZ to monitor temps and stuff. It was showing 0 GPU load while it was crunching the wu, then BSOD. There seems to be a bug, or incompatibility might be a better word between GPU-Z and the 12-10 drivers. It shows 0% GPU load for me too, but I am reasonably sure that it is doing something. |

Will email them to let them know of the issue. Hope they fix it as I like the program.

Question for someone who might know...videos stutter quite a bit when running GPU workunits. Anyone know how to fix this?
----------------------------------------Already tried unchecking "use gpu while computer is in use" button, but it doesn't stop my gpu from computing while watching a movie. Thanks to anyone with ideas/advice. ![]() |

Right click boinc in task bar and check snooze gpu.

Yes, that works great. Except I'm losing crunch time on a machine that puts out 20,000 points per hour. Can't have it all I guess...

@Bearcat. I would strongly recommend you remove CCC and use MSI Afterburner to control your GPU settings. CCC has a problem driver that can cause random BSODs for no apparent reason. Have you done the registry change to stop windows from restarting your drivers? That too will also go a long way toward making things run smoothly. With your 7870 @ 60% load with 1 task running 4 should be no problem. Remove the entire program or just the manager? Am assuming to just keep the sdk as that has the open cl driver, right? If it were me I would uninstall everything, run Driver Sweeper and then reinstall without CCC. FWIW if you use this machine for crunching, web surfing etc. and don't game I would install only the video driver and the APP SDK runtime and nothing else. That's what I do on all of mine, even my everyday machine.

Have 2 crunching now. Same time as when running one. Haven't been able to receive any new wu's though as am getting "No app version found, disregarding". Have it set in app file to crunch both GPU and CPU. Will wait until it runs dry and hit update a few times to see what happens. Gave up trying to run cpu and gpu workunits together...just dedicated it to running gpu units. Anyone know if its even possible to run multiple gpu units and multiple cpu units at the same time? ![]() |

Please elaborate on what you mean by multiple GPU and multiple CPU. Within WCG? Other DC projects? |

Please elaborate on what you mean by multiple GPU and multiple CPU. Within WCG? Other DC projects? Exactly what it says...for example running 4 cpu units and 4 gpu units (1 gpu x 4 wu). Using the app_info that was posted it kills the cpu units in progress, right? I read it requires added code to the app_info to run cpu units with multiple gpu units but I don't see where it says what code to add. Thanks I hope the question is clear. ![]() |
