Woot! Team top 50 for Results... not sure how long that will last once I finish crunching CfSW?
----------------------------------------Very close to top 100 for points too! |

@ gordoma
----------------------------------------not sure how long that will last once I finish crunching CfSW? I don't think that'll be an issue. Progress up the ranks of the UK team will slow, but I doubt there will be any significant downward movement. Only a new member with significant crunching power, or an exisiting member with a substantial increase in power, would cause a problem and then only 1 ranking place. For example Wicksman has just knocked me down 1 place to #46 in the UK team RT rankings and eventually Mike D Green will do the same (and to you). But other than that progress for both of us will continue to be up. ![]() ---------------------------------------- [Edit 1 times, last edit by jonnieb-uk at Sep 3, 2012 8:56:09 AM] |

I'm stopping work on the Snail for a little while, seen that HFCC has only about 10 days left to run and I want to give it a little extra time (not going for any particular goal, just want to give it a good send off.... Unless they come up with another Target, then I'll go for 4 years

I was going to have a bash at my emerald badge for HFCC if there was enough time left after I hit Ruby for CfSW. I don't think it'll be enough time for me.
----------------------------------------Also, there is some talk on the CfSW forum of there now being an estimated 11 weeks left - wondering whether to be happy with the Ruby and focus on my current bronzes or go for Emerald if that turns out to be true? |

Top 100 in the team for points... Top 50 is a long way off, but happy to be in the top 100 for 2 out of 3 stats now (makes the SNURK-sig look a bit better - once it updates)

The UK team gets its nose in front of Poland and moves to #90 in the RT rankings!
---------------------------------------- Now for Gillboskolorna #89 and Austin Grid Team #88. I'm in the process of revising the target predictions (see below) and will update later.I've noticed in other threads that northern hemisphere crunchers throttle back crunching during the summer months partly because of overheating concerns and also holidays. This seems to be borne out by the Global WCG stats where total RT has dipped by at least 1,000 years in each of Jun Jul & Aug from the levels seen Feb - May! I need to adjust my target predictions to reflect this.I know stroudwaterboy had temperature issues early summer and possibly genhos Anyone else on the team running below capacity? |

About 1,100 hrs left to crunch for a Ruby CfSW and I've bumped up my cache to accomodate sufficient WUs to achieve this. Seeing the feeding frenzy thats going on I thought it better to have a full cache than to be left short!

Anyone else on the team running below capacity? Both my machines run at 90% to keep the heat a bit lower. This is just a general setting rather than anything specific for the summer. I've seen some people say they throttle back to about 70% in the hotter months, but so far I've been fine.I've not overclocked but I realised that I need to keep my laptop lid open when I'm not using it to keep it cooler. |
