Looking good for Ruby though and I've decided to try and advance HCMD2 to Gold in the short time left on that project. I'd like to get all current projects up to at least Ruby - I reckon that's respectable for 2 machines. As soon as CfSW is there, I'll concentrate on SNTS, GFAM, DSFL and CEP2 until they get there - hopefully C4CW will be back up soon and can join them, then I'll chuck my existing Rubies into the mix and see if I can get some more emeralds.... at the same time as keeping an eye out for DDDT2 rain (currently no badge for that), opportunities for Beta testing and any other new projects that come along. (It's currently my last remaining Silver).... I forgot how involving this can be - I'm addicted again!! |

Though with 57hrs P/Valid and 11hrs P/Verif. I thought I might have cleared all my PVers and PVals out by now, but I've just checked and I have about 60 hours of each (I didn't add it all up, just worked on an average 1 hour per WU) |

dweymes1994 who joined the UK team last week has just logged his first result!
---------------------------------------- ![]() Assuming that it validates in the 60 hours before month end, the UK team will have had 80 members active in August. Our highest monthly total (ever?) in 2012. ![]() |

Tis good news indeed, hopefully the first of many units crunched.

SNURK has made a small modification to his Globe Sigs. to include Global Rank as a percentile. Not sure that this really adds anything.
---------------------------------------- Such is the weight of dormant or near dormant members at the bottom of a total membership of 600,949, that 32 days total RT is sufficient to give a Rank of 318,990 (top53.2%). Just a personal observation. |

Such is the weight of dormant or near dormant members at the bottom of a total membership of 600,949, that 32 days total RT is sufficient to give a Rank of 318,990 (top53.2%) This came at the request of a member lower down the ranking who wanted to have something more meaningful to those who haven't crunched as much. As always, SNURK was quick to oblige.I agree about the dormant members issue. It would be useful if WCG could create a statistic for active members. Given that the return deadline on new WUs is 10 days, perhaps this should be the yardstick. Any WUs not returned in that time will be reassigned. I'm not sure how keen WCG will be to make this figure widely known though as I suspect it will count for a significant number of those registered |

This came at the request of a member lower down the ranking who wanted to have something more meaningful to those who haven't crunched as much But how does this change achieve that? Even expressing the % to 2 decimal places, a smaller cruncher is going to see a slower rate of change in the % than in the rankings. SNURK does a fantastic job with the Globe sigs. but I think this was a waste of effort.I agree that WCG are probably not keen to explore the dormancy issue, in the same way that Facebook are not keen to deal with fake/duplicate accounts. The dormancy issue impinged on another thread this morning - https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread_thread,33696 - the UK team was criticised for entering a "Small Team Challenge". But who/how is "Small" defined? |
