Re: UK

three old, but powerful Thinkpad laptops
Ah happy memories of my IBM days. At my peak I had a stack of old thinkpads in my office at home with cooler fan pads in between each one, remote sessions set up to my home PC and Wake on LAN to start them up from cold if necessary without having to take the stack apart to get to the power switch. Worked well!

I think there's a photo on here somewhere?

Re: UK

After a mid-month dip the UK team's Daily Average is back on the up! biggrin

If we continue to improve at a similar rate in the remainder of the year, then early 2013 could see the UK team crunching at a Year per calendar day! Wouldn't that be something? biggrin

The key, as always, is attracting new members! No matter the size, every crunching contribution counts. Click the link to join the UK team today:http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/team/viewTeamInfo.do?teamId=L721SPD4BN1

Re: UK

Not a bad little group of crunchers there Mike. As for me, neither my main machine or laptop are on for a huge amount of time each day, so part-timer here wink The laptop is for surfing while in the kitchen and main machine for the evening.
As always, trying to get some more cores on here but no friends or family seem to be interested.

Just seen that Grendel90 has retired from the team, put through a days worth of crunching too in that short time.

Re: UK

Just seen on the CfSW forum that the project has been suspended for a couple of days due to WU errors. I've got a healthy quota to see me through (standard MO when doing a single project) so will need to see if they go OK unless they get recalled/aborted

Re: UK

@ gordoma You need to keep an eye on your cache. From my own experience in the early hours of this morning I can tell you that WUs upto cfsw_ 14327_ 14327229 are good and WU's after cfsw_ 14349_ 14349297 are bad! (The exact cut-off is somwhere between.

Thanks Johnnie - I've suspended everything from the start of that range... but it seems that the project is backong off on uploads from my laptop at the moment so perhaps they are not even accepting anything back right now?

Re: UK

Almost up to my second Sapphire badge! smile

Say No to Schistosoma : 3,025,806 : 3,435 : 1:357:08:23:29

The launch of Guild Wars 2, however, is taking its toll on my gaming PC's crunching, but the VMs and other machines should easily do the fair share of the work while I'm gaming...
