Re: UK

Good news, lets hope dweymes1994 follows shortly.

And jonnieb, just noticed that today is likely to be the last time I will ever be above you in any rankings! As I type this, in the points ranks you are 2 places and 363 points behind me.
I will be waving my fist and sticking my leg out to trip you up as you blaze past me! tongue

Re: UK

Hi,

Thanks for the welcomes and apologies for the tardy response to them - I've just now discovered the forum. I look forward to contributing a fair few points to the team!

I've been running WCG exclusively for about five years now, though only recently in a 'serious' manner. Soooo.... addictive ;-)

Right now, I just run everything, including a lot of Clean Energy project WUs on those machines which can cope (all but one, and I think I'm about to retire that one). I might start playing with targeting badges at some point, though generally I'm just happy to watch numbers going up.... (easily pleased obviously).

Mike

Re: UK

Hi Mike, Welcome to the forum and the team. Looks like you have a bit of fire power crunching here with the the scores you've output since joining the team.
Out of curiosity, what do you have running here?

Re: UK

Welcome Grendal90 smile

Am hoping to purchase a new system in October (depends how things turn out, priorities for money ect), it won't add much to my score as it'll be replacing my quad core (so overall only 4 cores better off).

Once purchased, I'll only be using the quad now and again, to allow my primary systems some downtime for cleaning ect (both systems haven't been shut down and cleaned for over a year), or for times when a project is finishing and I haven't hit my personal target.

So although my score will improve overall, I'll still be nowhere in the running for Top Dog of the team (but if I where to win the euro millions devilish ).

Re: UK

Hi,
Currently I have a collection of 'retired' laptops and one new, 6 core 3930K machine, all with 8 or 16GB or memory and at least two cores. Essentially, three old, but powerful Thinkpad laptops, one newish one, my mother's laptop which I remotely control ( :-) ) and an old Dell laptop. It's about half the laptops and half the new machine. 23 cores in total.

Very pleasing watching the numbers go up! Sorry I didn't join the team earlier though.

Mike
