One thing about Beta Testing Participation: I have 2 laptops on the "school" profile and 2 on the "work" profile. Both profiles got beta WUs.Although all my device profiles are set to participate in Beta, I only received beta WU's on those on the "work" profile (about half my PCs). I tested my theory on a netbook that had the profile "school" (set to receive only HCMD2 and, of course, Beta). This machine has been turned off for more than a month. Started BOINC and received several HCMD2 WUs but no Beta. Changed the device profile to "work" (set to receive HCMD2 and DDDT2, plus Beta), aborted all HCMD2 WUs (sorry about that) and updated the project. The result? I received 2 betas (thanks to the "dual-cpu" Atom-HT). Coincidence or bug? Cheers |

From the log it looks to me as if it resumed fine after taking the pause, but nevertheless that WU was rendered inconclusive. So I need to wait what the wingman comes up with.... I'll post again when the wingman's result is there. With the help of my wingman's result the mentioned WU validated fine. As well did two more WUs I picked up which were resends for other's inconclusives. Looks like the Beta test was a success! |

I got 17 Beta work units on my Windows Machines and all were processed "Valid". I don't know if these were CEPII or something else, but something is going well.

I don't know if these were CEPII or something else, but something is going well. No, these are for a new project 'c4cw' that I do believe they're hoping to launch very soon... As to what 'c4cw' stands for, I've seen someone propose 'Crunching 4 Clean Water' - I'm sure we'll all find out soon enough Hopefully, with the smooth Beta test of this particular project, that'll allow the techs to get back and work on getting CEP2 ready for Windows/Mac. |

The "believe" was I think entered for last week of August. knreed and uplinger made comments about things to sort... allow them to get it better than 3.7% having one issue (stuff* happens more frequently than one thinks) or the other (the low hanging fruit fixes, whilst still in scheduled test phase). Once something moves into production it's much harder the find a new slot in the packed agenda.
----------------------------------------Launching CEP2 on Mac/Windows... well lets see ... there are some teasing bugs to solve such as some reporting much less CPU time then was really used and not because of very inefficient system performance... but at least, the scientists said they take any result, whether it runs long or short to include those having the RC= messages (as I inferred from the last cleanenergy post). *edited to appropriate forum language - ErikaT

Well, there's still the odd repair job floating around - as I've just been fortunate to pick up one It'll be back before the sun rises in the morning
