Re: An OSX bug

I'll try it again with 1 processor and see what happens. Starting to wonder though if its the mac pro's having the majority of the problems. Could it be the ECC memory doing this?

Re: An OSX bug

This is not limited to Mac Pro computers. It also does not appear to be limited to Intel or PPC either.

My stalls have been limited lately, but still getting at least one per week. Last night I had DDD stall. I think this is the first time I have seen this project stall.

Re: An OSX bug

I will probably jinks myself but so far, so good. 6 WU's completed with no problems. I'll let this batch complete to see how it goes, then bump it up to 2 processors and see what happens. Crossing my fingers though.

Re: An OSX bug

Well, so far so good with two processors crunching. No problems at all. Any other mac users experiencing problems lately?

Re: An OSX bug

Had one hang this past week. otherwise its working. One thing I have noticed is if I unmount my other internal drives, and uncheck put the hard drive to sleep, I don't get problems. Cant be a memory problem as I have 8gb ram. How's it going for the other mac users?

My computer has been off for about 5 days as we redecorated the office, but BOINC has been more reliable lately. I have even started running FAAH again, but haven't seen the same kind of crashes as before.

Spoke a little too soon, it would seem. I found BOINC stalled this morning while working on a FAAH unit.

Google did not return any hits on a search for "A Job's Tiding", so I have no idea what that is supposed to mean.

Re: An OSX bug

I'm still getting stalled work units with DDDT. It happens on average about every other or 3rd day.
I've just got used to checking it often with boincview to minimize down-time.
