Welcome everyone who is coming over from grid.org or new folks joining us who just happened to find us today. We hope you enjoy your time with us and we appreciate your help in the research we are doing. I see that the Community Advisors and other folks have been helping you out and making your feel at home (they are quite helpful and very friendly!). If you have any questions, please feel free to ask - someone is sure to help you out! Thanks Kevin, I'm sure the new members appreciate the staff coming down to welcome them PS. I saw you lurking around the Grid forum earlier ![]() |

PS. I saw you lurking around the Grid forum earlier ![]() Yea - I periodically visit other forums to see what is going on - espicially with major events such as this. I hope everyone is able to re-unite their teams at other DC projects (obviously I hope many come here ). It is always interesting and good to see how people are able to make friendships through these types of communities.[Edit 1 times, last edit by knreed at Apr 27, 2007 5:00:27 PM] |

... espicially with major events such as this. Are you monitoring the number of new members daily? I'm very interested in the number of Grid.org refugees that enroll here... I think(hope) it's going to be an impressive chart!!

Very true Kevin - there were many fine friendly people over at Grid, and those that come here I'm sure will make a significant contribution both in the forum community, and in crunching ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Apr 27, 2007 6:19:12 PM] |

RatOmeter, these numbers only reflect members and devices that have actually returned results, not the grid.org inflated stats. It's laughable they claim now on their final page to have been doing 210 CPU years per day on exit. That was the all time average! There is time lapse obviously between becoming a member and getting thru the statistics..... count on 48 hours before a trickle thru starts to show in full. There's a link there how to do an uninstall of the old agent, which pertinently does not work with WCG and is best removed to avoid any potential conflict: http://www.grid.org/uninstall.htm cheers
