Let me add my welcome to all the great folks joining us from grid.org. I started crunching SETI a loooooooooong time ago - about a month or so before WCG started. When I found out about WCG (two days after it started), I switched and have crunched here exclusively ever since. I have no plans to crunch anywhere else. I have found that the WCG admins are a fair and honest bunch. The multi-project approach here is particularly appealing. No disease has a lock on awfulness. No matter which disease you've faced, your crunching here will help find cures for a number of diseases.

I started crunching at SETI too... Never found anything worth while though...
----------------------------------------And here are todays WCG totals... members devices This means that, since the exodus, WCG gained 2487 members and 5660 devices... The refugee camp is filling up nicely!

I've crunched for grid.org since 2003. Total CPU time: 1:279:11:33:22 (# 59,353) Points Generated: 376,100 (# 40,733) Results Returned: 1,766 (# 44,378) Member Since: 10/10/2003 Now I am crunching with you. Waiting for Cancer project. Geez it is good when you have a place to crunch. |

Welcome everyone who is coming over from grid.org or new folks, as Laurance says: The Cancer is not possible just now. We have just finished Help Defeat Cancer and will not start our next Cancer Project for several months. Why not just set for 'All Projects' for the moment and read the project descriptions in the Research tab? Now why could grid.org not just carry on like that? |

Now why could grid.org not just carry on like that? Money. IBM is paying the bills and keeping the fiber and the server room lit for WCG. I guess grid.org just ran out of rich friends. |

Hello
 Crunched at Grid.org since 2002. Had a little over 900k points and was pushing to get to One Million. But no big deal. I crunching here now and the important point is we're still helping to find a cure no matter how many points we had!!!! Cheers! Chris |
