I keep trying Ubuntu but....
----------------------------------------It's all that subliminal built up knowledge going right back to Windows 3.1 and DOS with XTREE GOLD that has done for me. I'll keep trying and maybe one day..... Both Ubuntu and MAC OS do update It's just they are more discreet about it ![]() |

Greetings from Windows 7 Service Pack 1
----------------------------------------I made it back all in one piece from what I have checked out so far I'm on Home Premium 64 Bit Edition (can't vouch for other versions) It's available from Microsoft/Windows Update now I haven't spotted any new bells and whistles so pretty much like any other normal Microsoft Tuesday, on Wednesday - relatively painless Dave ![]() |

MS as always was not in a rush to send the [sometimes] critical fixes down per their ''patch Tuesday'' routine... my W7 is set to check every day at 03:00 AM and it's Friday the 17th today when 59MB landed in the queue and an alert popped up at 6:03 PM **. So, without further ado, apply and boot controlled as to let that very long job finish in your CEP2 jobs [or at your leisure, considering the infamous question by the dentist ''Is it save?''].
Oh, after a short google here the bulletin ... it was released on Tuesday the 14th as a Valentines present ;P --//-- ** Maybe it's because I chose the translated locale of US English that caused the delay ... ![]() |

MS Secrets [by association], 16 important updates announced on August 16,2012 via the systray, but the screen refuses to divulge this critical information, even after a boot:

Who has, has not yet run their July Windows Updates? Just ran it on all the instances and kb3161608 (27.5MB, supposed June roll-up optional but needed for future updating) fails to install repeatedly on W7-64 and searching finds that many have a problem with this package.
http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/fo...03-4080-872f-73de1a96e080 Maybe I'm lucky it failed to install as it effects networking inclusive, where RodrigoGuariento is suggesting changes in IE for SSL and TLS. To my surprise when checking, these settings were already applied on my W7-64 **: "1 - Open Internet Explorer / Internet Options / Advanced tab; disable Use SSL 2.0; enable Use SSL 3.0; disable Use TLS 1.0; disable Use TLS 1.1; enable Use TLS 1.2." (Not using IE directly, but since using Office 365/2016, which uses the IE engine, for e.g. data fetches from WCG, things have continued to work.) **n Maybe another Alzheimer Lite attack not having recovered from |
