Since I'm pretty stubborn, I will run these two resend Beta tasks. Especially since they do seem possible to finish OK. They will take a long time though, om my old Laptop CPU. Both finished, and validated. Phew, one of them took 35+ hours, and the late one took 48+ hours. The 48+hours one was 22 minutes late, and the deadline was never extended. So the WU was sent out as _5, to another wingman. I guess it will be server aborted though, if it haven't been started already.BETA_BETA30_9800028_0869 BETA_BETA30_9800029_0671 |

I USER ABORTED these 9 WU's that have not CHECKED POINTED at least once within the last 24 hours:

BETA_BETA30_9800014_0885 BETA_BETA30_9800013_0158 BETA_BETA30_9800013_0202 BETA_BETA30_9800013_0040 BETA_BETA30_9800013_0035 BETA_BETA30_9800013_0050 BETA_BETA30_9800013_0031 BETA_BETA30_9800011_0627 BETA_BETA30_9800011_0666 BETA_BETA30_9800011_0668 BETA_BETA30_9800011_0676 The VALID, PENDING Validation and in-progress WU's are not included here. Time will tell how things proceed from here. Any comments or suggestions? |

If you haven't already done so, it's worth checking the state of those WUs via the web site, as they have probably been tagged with zero replications... If that's the case and your wingman has already failed in some way (other than No Reply, perhaps!) you might as well abort them because they will have no chance of validating and hence zero value to WCG or your statistics! ----------------------------------------Just checked: all are zero replications. Will address that either after work tonight or tomorrow. I have a different WU In Progress and that is non-zero. [No, I hadn't already checked and thanks for the suggestion.] ETA: <sigh> well, I accidently power cycled several computers while attempting to put my WinXP systems back online which, of course, faulted out most of those beta WU's. Will research more later, after work. Speedy51 , Window 10 or 11 as appropriate to the hardware. No other non-Windows operating systems in use here. The OOPS also took out my only In Progress Beta WU.
Question: Would WCG get more useful information if I power cycled the computer and let the WU Error out, or Abort the WU? |

Following my best guess, I left the following Beta WU's still active on my systems that HAVE shown at least one In Progress entry in the Event Log within the last 24-hours:

All my current Beta WU's are still checkpointing.
Recommendations on how to handle those WU's (still active on my systems) that are other than In Progress. A suggestion by one of the volunteers was to Abort those showing replication 0 - comments? Timeframe and requirements on releasing next generation batch of beta WU's? |

Looks like you should check ti see is they are able to resume from checkpoints correctly.
