Re: New project is coming!

I still have 36 Linux errored out MAM tasks in my results from April 5th. Maybe I will receive credit for these? (Keeps fingers crossed).

Re: New project is coming!

MAM1 Windows 64-bit build released in application version 7.04: We were able to resolve the memory safety issue around checkpointing and shared memory for the graphics application, and released a new version of MAM1 with the Windows x86_64 build. It is currently running on several Windows 10, Windows 11, and one Windows Server 2022 client. We will start sending larger batches that process more signatures, and use more stringent cross validation once the initial batch sent out to confirm the fix comes back with no or low error rate.

Beta Batch MAM1_9800037 Released to Test Fix to Windows 64-bit Build: Another small batch of 100 workunits has been released with MAM1 7.04 based on the previous batches MAM1_9800035 and MAM1_9800036, which all returned without an error (208 workunits with some variation in code paths, number of signatures etc. amont the higher numbers).

Graphics Images Display Issues in version 7.02-7.04: Users may notice that the TGA files that form the background of the composite image on which the chromosome map is rendered, and also the container for the chromosome map, are rendered differently between Linux and Windows and they are out of position. We will be iterating on the graphics as we progress through the beta, but our focus is on working builds for a maximum number of architectures and optimizing and stabilizing the singature permuation, SVM training, and signature evaluation code.

ARP1 Stuck Extremes, low throughput: Now that we have Windows and Linux builds for MAM1, we will be able to spend some time trying to reproduce and resolve the ARP1 extreme generations that are no longer progressing, and start increasing throughput for ARP1 in general.

Re: New project is coming!

The BETA-tasks that didn't error out [*1] have finally been declared 'Valid'.

However, and I keep saying this, normally, BETA-tasks should have a project-ID with value 1 (one), but these ones don't have one that I can identify, nor does my Results page: selecting "Beta Testing" doesn't yield anything.

[*1] I have also got a bunch of 58 BETA-tasks that errored out.

Adri
PS PowerFactor - you don't get any credit for tasks that errored out.

Re: New project is coming!

IIRC credit was given for failed BETA tasks in IBM days.

Re: New project is coming!

All six of my Linux beta units are now valid. The wingman completed all of them in about 11 minutes while mine were all about 24 to 26 minutes.
Nothing for me on Windows yet.

Cheers

Re: New project is coming!

Nope not for me either, what I wish they had was a 'tasks available' listing so we knew to stop asking for work if there just isn't any available!

Re: New project is coming!

Just recieved 8 Beta WU's for my Win 11 machine. I've pushed them all to the front of the queue and they're now running. So, by tomorrow morning, they should have been returned.

Re: New project is coming!

Format of names are such that they can be found using the BETA project filter:

BETA_BETA30_9800002_0018

I have also pushed them to the head of the line.
Looks like things are getting closer to release of live WU's!
Thanks all! :)
