Re: Viktors corner

A few items from today's call with the researchers:

1. They have a paper being published soon--stay for a summary about it as soon as it's out.
2. They're working on a grant application that is due in May.

Re: Viktors corner

We just finished our monthly call with the research team:

1. The Scripps team wrote a paper about AutoDock that they are submitting for publication soon.
2. The Scripps team is continuing to write the grant application that they mentioned in last month's call, and they've asked us for a letter of support. (This is a common request, and IBM is always happy to send letters of support for researchers.)
3. They're ordering compounds for lab testing.

Re: Viktors corner

We had our monthly call with the researchers today. They submitted the grant application that we discussed last month, and are continuing to analyze the data that you crunch for them.

Work units are running well on our end, and there are plenty of them. Barring an unforeseeable emergency, this project will be running for some time. (We do not have an end date for it.)

Re: Viktors corner

We just wrapped up our call with the research team.

1. They're waiting to hear back about their grant submission.
2. They're working an updated version of AutoDock (the original software used for Phase 1 of this project), which should be much faster than the earlier version. We'll have more information as their work progresses.

That sounds very interesting! Thanks for the information, caitilarkin.
