I am running with two systems 24/7 with i7 processors. Mostly get MCM and MIP tasks, more than I can do on one day. But then I got a lot of FAH2-tasks with deadline today.
Q 1: Is the deadline US-time or local time (I am in Germany)? Q2: Shall I deactivate MCM and MIP tasks in my profile tto accelerate FAH2? |

It is your local time (UTC+1 for Germany) and you have 24h to complete one task (don't worry too much about this limit, because task will be valid in most of times if it's done couple of hours after deadline). Just be careful to start them before deadline expires. If u start task after this, server will abandon it! If u wish to contribute more to FA@H P2 you should crunch only it, because you can pick up only one task per core and there is 24h deadline anyway. FA@H P2 will set priority over other projects and you won't be able to pick up many of MCM and MIP tasks in case of running them parallel with FA@H P2.

We just wrapped up our monthly call with the FAAH research teams.
1. The Phase 1 and 2 teams have decided on a new set of ligands for us to work on. They will be sending us the new work units for these ligands by later this week. 2. The Phase 1 team has decided that they definitely want to run more AutoDock work on WCG. They are coming up with a plan and a timeframe for this; we expect to have more information early next year. 3. The two teams will be meeting face-to-face in January (and we will ask them to take a picture!). Current status of work units: In Progress: 98,957 work units* Completed: 4,159,569 in the last 30 days - average of 138,652 per day *This project does not use batches like some other projects. Also, due to its use of the AsyncRe analysis method, this project does not keep a backlog of work with World Community Grid like many others. See the latest two project updates for details. |

We just wrapped up our monthly call with the FAAH research teams. If Phase 1 has some more work, please call it phase 1 in the system. I am sure that some might need some more phase 1 for an extended badge. My phase 2 has almost 9 years, getting close to 10, but phase 1 has 5 years and could always use 10.1. The Phase 1 and 2 teams have decided on a new set of ligands for us to work on. They will be sending us the new work units for these ligands by later this week. 2. Updates from our monthly call with the researchers:
1. WCG just started beta testing on the new work units, after a few weeks of alpha testing. We will let everyone know once beta testing is over and we have new work units ready to go out to the general volunteer group. 2. The two phases are planning their annual face-to-face meeting early next year, as mentioned in the last update. 3. The Phase 1 team continues to plan for more work on WCG next year--this is still in the early planning stages and we don't have an ETA yet. Current status of work units: paused pending review of beta testing |
