This morning the client started pulling a different project according the profile change I made yesterday to verify the issue... i.e.
----------------------------------------wplachy, AFAIC the thread can be marked [RESOLVED] as nelsoc did to the Known Issues post. cheers

Anyone else want to confirm new device profile settings taking effect? I got it to work on my laptop... Hi Nelsc, I just verify that during last night my both devices received new WU's according my new selection. Just tried a new setting and all appear works fine for me by now.

This may be resolved for some.. But still getting 13/02/2010 09:43:37 World Community Grid Message from server: No work sent 13/02/2010 09:43:37 World Community Grid Message from server: No work available for the applications you have selected. Please check your settings on the website. That is with all projects checked. Cheers Chris |

Yes, but where, My Projects or Device Profile? If applied to My Projects, it should overwrite / apply ALL devices profiles, default, home, school, work, but if applied to work, no other device associated to different venues is affected.
----------------------------------------Our recommendation is to always have the box for "If there is no work available for my computer for the projects I have selected above, please send me work from another project.". If not and you only have the intermittent and beta options selected, then you get nothing.

My computer got a profile change last night, reducing the buffer size, but it not got the project selection. So it is still running dry!!! Please help!! |

Can only recommend to revisit the My Projects then save and Device Profiles, then save. I've applied changes now twice and get what I want.
----------------------------------------IF, those that have resorted to creating their own custom profiles that are not named school, default, work, home were bound to face issues. Those profiles e.g. self-named HCMD2ONLY use an unlocked gap in the profile db store but are not supported.

If not and you only have the intermittent and beta options selected, then you get nothing. All the above have been applied no work forthcoming computer running dry now will try a project reset later.As for beta gave up on that some time ago ! crunching three years only 8 days received only an hour and a half from the last lot .Have 8 cores running. Try following:
----------------------------------------Go to the profile and change something operation changing such as the Use No More than xx % of CPU time. Save and update in client. The message log should show the effective profile with a new time stamp.

This is still not working for me - the changes are not sent to the target PC.

hmmm, well, might be there are so many tries queued that the message system between the modules is drowning. Don't see the timestamp change, still showing Dec.18, 2009.
