Re: Unable to Get Device Profile to Take Effect

It only took my first new change and then started ignoring subsequent changes again. Can someone else please try making a second change to see if they can reproduce this behavior?

Re: Unable to Get Device Profile to Take Effect

I'm seeing the same problem. About 30 minutes ago one of my PC's picked up the profile change I made last night, but not the current profile. Also, about 1/2 of my devices were showing the wrong profile in Device Manager.

I updated the profiles in Device Manager and verified the change made it down to the PC for 4 of my devices.

After reading Snow Crash post I changed the profile on one PC, verified the change in Device manager and then attempted to update the PC. Same problem, the new profile is not recognized.

Looks like the problem still exists.

Re: Unable to Get Device Profile to Take Effect

Just so I'm clear, this happens after a member changes their "my project" settings?

-Uplinger

I made no changes to the "my project" setting. What I did was to use "Device Manager" to change the profile of some of my PC's. The new profile was not picked up by the device following "Update". I also changed the project selection in two of the profiles. This was not picked up either as work continues to be fetched for a project that is not selected and "...send other work..." is not checked in the profile.

As of about 1 hr ago the problem appeared to be corrected but as pointed out above, it is not. It now looks like a single profile change is recognized with additional ones ignored.

Re: Unable to Get Device Profile to Take Effect

I experimented with profiles 15+ hours ago, but remained selected to my original standard default profile. The last WU was received 7 hours ago but no work available for the past 2 hours. Checked my settings and found that I was now on the new (Beta Hoover) profile. Changed back to default but still no WU's. Will be completely out of work in 2 hours.

Re: Unable to Get Device Profile to Take Effect

Still nothing working. Changes to a profile aren't picked up by the client when it tries to update, nor even if you force a reset.

Attempts to change which profile a device uses are also ignored.
