Well since the WCG techs have forsaken me, my bereft machine now crunches malariacontrol.net. Luckily I have a bunch of others "stuck" on HCMD2. and HPF2.

Hi Uplinger, yes - I've tried detaching/resetting the project, and still no joy...

As to the changing of the profiles, I've changed from an 'intermittent' one to an active (FA@H), and it's reporting as though there's no work available (whereas, I believe it's still attempting to fetch from the 'intermittent' project)

I made some changes to my profiles to see what's going on. I unchecked all projects except one. That didn't do anything. All three of the computers are still getting work from all the projects that were selected before I made the changes. I don't understand why people are running out of work. My computers are still getting work. Just not only the projects that I currently have selected.

THat's because before the system went kerflooey, you had at least some active projects checked. Those that had only inactive/intermittent projects checked when the system stopped processing changes got stuck with that choice ie no work unless the load up some wus of that intermittent project or start a beta.

I tried do it and nothing change in the problem.

After this temptative, I tried unselect all intermitents and force update to try get WU's from another project (tried all projects selection at sametime, after tried one by one, after tried a mix, and so on... nothing).

Yet, tried an approach to use settings from other machines that are getting WU's in other two devices of mine, but the settings not made any effect in change the Boinc client to run the new settings selected at website (My Profiles).

Tried too, use just My Projects selection path, despite of use the specific profiles settings, nothing changed.

Tried change my old profiles that are gettinng WU's in two slow machines, just to try see if both ones will follow the new setting, but in this machines too I can't changed anything (continue just getting WU's from the old selection despite of my changes in the website).

Tried reinstall the 6.2.28 Boinc release and restarting the machines and nothing changed.

So, until now, I have two old machines (Mac and Intel) running under old preferences settings using teh - home - profile, which are getting WU's. This old setting are running in the last days without any change from my side.

Additionally, I have two fast machines (Intel) that are running dry by now, which don't accepted any kind of change to modify it profile operation mode from the setting that I ran since begin the last Beta test (Both are configured with settings to fetcher all 3 intermitent projects, in order to try capture Betas WU's, both under the same website profile - work).

P.S. Just to complement my coments, I tried return to website preferences, after tryed change to a distinct setting at website, just pressing the CLEAR button at Boinc clients in all machines, but all remain with the original website settings whcih pre existing, despite of my new selections on the website...
