Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

From the http://mainstreamlastfirst.com/ blog

with added bolding

"A small example of this was when I noticed a hole in my dry suit today which was allowing water in. Frank has a repair kit with him for this so we patched that up – that was something we can control. As we are currently stuck on anchor, we all took the opportunity to hang some damp clothes out to dry – this is also something we can control. I know these might sound like little things and probably very obvious but its very important for us at the moment to focus on these things we can control and not allow things that we cannot (like the weather conditions) get the better of us mentally."

Finally, sitting in a rowing boat at 70 degrees North, Paul Gleeson gets it.

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

I have just sent back a Clean Energy Project Work Unit

At 6:30am the 19.35p/kwh units kick in and my crunchers, bar the global thermometer server, will all go off.

This is what I have been saying all along

We can't make progress towards a more efficient future if you price us out of that future today.

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

Hi Gerald

Check out the Moon tonight

It's like gold

Just one of the many of life's cycles we don't pay as much attention to in the 21st Century.

Only recently beginning to understand how it affects my mood.

By way of example my poetic side makes an appearance about 3 days before full. Today euphoric but overwhelmed. Much more measured when the Moon is new. That's just me..

Then there's the Seasons and what is effectively my pseudonym. The mid summer and winter solstices and the equinoxes. The tides.

The burst into new life of Spring and the wrap up in more ways than one of Autumn. If only I could hibernate.

We have 11/22 year Solar Cycles

and the Cycle of Life

I realised that this

is my modern day Stonehenge

Tracking the passing Seasons and Years

The wonder of this beautiful Planet precious in this Universe

Magnificent

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

biggrin

Looks like the bump has arrived

Just trying to install WCG on my old Android Phone and it's version 2.2.1 and nicely incompatible

Slowly getting excluded here in the UK, as in no longer able to keep up with progress. Hopefully it's hogwash but I genuinely received an annual estimated electricity cost of £3072.87 "This includes a Direct Debit discount of £40" LOL

£3072.87 = €3564.53 = $4732.22....a year

That just me living in Flat by myself not Buckingham Palace.

!!

You can see why the crunchers have to go off when not actively warming my Flat. I suppose it's a case of supply and demand. We are rapidly running out of supply, so £3072.87 a year should manage the demand

It's criminal

One way or another the lights will go out next year and the fans will stop blowing

The strike price is the price the Government will guarantee EDF for the KWh's produced by their new Nuclear Stations

I think it should be £0.00

The price is not worth paying
