Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

Tell me about it Gerald

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-22718944

The awesome warming power of an atmosphere full, yep full, of 0.03984% CO2

The BBC and the UK Met Office have jumped the gun but we will know for sure tomorrow when we get month 9 out of the last 12 below the 1961-90 average temp

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

Anyone know why the very north tip of Finland is 29C

http://weatherspark.com/#!dashboard;loc=69.2790,29.4130

about 21C more than normal

Those siberian weather stations are off-air again

Is someone attempting to "cook" the books and not expecting us to notice ?

Or is it really warmer than the Bahama's http://weatherspark.com/#!dashboard;loc=24.5774,-77.9866
in Lapland at this time of year

!

Not the first and he won't be the last.

It's amazing how far you can extrapolate lunacy.

Our atmosphere contains less than 0.04% CO2. That 0.04% provides the essential building blocks of life. Life is built from CO2 and H20 and Sunlight. Throw in some minerals diluted in H20 and all of life's chemistry is manufactured through the amazing digital reproducing blueprint contained in DNA . Every carbon atom in your being is directly or indirectly provided out of that 0.04% of the atmosphere. Every protein chain we have folded in HPF 1 and 2 gets it's Carbon chemistry as a result of that 0.04%

Our Planet is not warming. CO2's blanketing capabilities are swamped, rendered moot, by H20's. H20 s self stabilising in the atmosphere. It is this stabilising effect that has enabled life to survive on this planet for at least 1,000,000,000 years

There isn't any runaway global warming nothing is running away. The feedback loops are negative, stabilising, maintaining equilibrium.

If this was not true I wouldn't be here pressing buttons on a keyboard, none of us would.

We have weather. Weather can be extreme. It always has had extremes but again it tends towards reasonable. Again if this was not true the environment would not produce and maintain life in it's myriad of forms.

You can believe the nonsense or you can trust what you can see when you look at this beautiful world through your incredible eyes.

Reading this book now

http://www.amazon.com/Dont-Sell-Your-Coat-ebo...ds=don%27t+sell+your+coat

I recommend it or one like it to all that feel passionately about Global warming. Main points: If there is any measurable trend at all, it is well within normal historical values; the climate has always changes over the centuries and always will, Most of those pushing action based on recent perceived short term warming trends have a political agenda or enjoy power, causes, and telling others what to do -- They are passionate about being passionate; and lastly, the activists overestimate human ability to cause or prevent a profound change in climate.

But as always, beware the person who has read one book! Read widely for making up your mind.

New way to store solar energy for use whenever it’s needed
MIT researchers have developed a new application of carbon nanotubes that shows promise as an innovative approach to storing solar energy for use whenever it’s needed.

Storing the sun’s heat in chemical form — rather than first converting it to electricity or storing the heat itself in a heavily insulated container — has significant advantages: in principle, the chemical material can be stored for long periods of time without losing any of its stored energy.

Here it is as a forum friendly sized graph that updates hourly

The graph above is (at this moment in time) the result of 53,840,164 individual temperature measurements taken around the Globe from NOAA Weather Stations since the beginning of 2011 cool

Note: The above is preliminary. I will complete the annual audit over the May Bank Holiday (Now I have my working copy of Windows 7 smile ) The May Bank Holidays were for a change superb I went out and got some Sun instead cool ... I will do it - just not right now especially with those dodgy Siberian Weather Stations being so unreliable at the moment.

This post is looking a little unwieldy in this style. I may change it to graphs to see how it looks. Might be easier to digest....that it's not getting any warmer. Currently 0.718C below the peak seen July last year.

Published much later this month 10:31am BST

Hey it's Saturday a Man deserves a lie in once in a while biggrin

It will take the others a few more days to add the "corrections" bear with them.

Welcome to the 1st day of (NH) Meteorological Summer (JJA) hugs

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

The May 2013 Central England Temperature has arrived and it's 10.4C

Making May 2013 the 5th Month on the trot and the 9th in the last 12 below the 1961-90 Average which rounded for May is 11.2C

This makes the last 12 Months 0.54C below normal

It makes Spring (MAM) the coldest since 1891 (ranked 325th coldest out of the last 355)

May 2013 the coldest since 1996 (17 years)

and the start of 2013 the coldest since 1986 (27 years)

You can believe the Globe is warming if you like, even alarmingly and at an unprecedented rate on account of our CO2

Me? I prefer the measured reality

all the facts for truth seekers http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/hadobs/hadcet/data/download.html

Dave

p.s. to claims of me being UK centric and in this case England in particular see my previous post and this graph http://www.theglobalthermometer.com/solaryear.png the solar yearly temperature as a raw average of over 2500 NOAA weather stations around the globe during our last orbit of the sun updating hourly. Has it recently risen or fallen?

Then the effect as measured by CET is not just being felt locally by us Anglophiles biggrin

Dave again
