Whichever way by Intelligent Design, or by many incremental steps of naturally caused DNA mutations concentrated through natural selection which tends the Cowpea plant towards it's optimum design - what is this Cowpea plant trying to tell us ?

It looks like my original idea for planting trees and flowers would be a success smile

The same way they do for plants in fish tanks and tomatoes et al in greenhouses wink

Bump up the CO2

But the real reason I stopped by was SHOCK HORROR shock

The BBC has publish a news item that admits to no warming over the last 15 years.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-22567023

the Catastrophe is only postponed though until another 15 years passes and then it will be postponed again, rinse and repeat.

The Ocean thing... if it's not as warm how is the extra non-existent heat going into the oceans ?

Meanwhile Taxes and their fallout, Biofuels and their fallout and Nuclear Meltdowns and it's fallout will continue as normal.

Just as long as they can still claim it might happen one day, perhaps, maybe, with the wind behind us etc etc etc etc

It's like a game of whack-a-mole

No matter how many sledgehammers of contrary evidence

It can still pop up for more

"People should be exactly as concerned as before about what climate change is doing," said Dr Otto.
--
Dear Dr Otto

If there has been a standstill in the heating of the Earths Atmosphere
since 1998 what exactly has been changing about our Climate in the last 15 years that we should be so worried about?
--
Turns out the Climate is not as sensitive to changes in CO2 as anticipated

Who woulda thunk?

Gerald

Here's 56 years of tornado history

It is a terrible tragedy that has happen in Oklahoma.

We did not cause it, these terrible things have always happened.

We are all too clearly, demonstrably, not in charge of Nature.

Another pb is the concentration of people in urban areas (and coast lines) that grow too much beyond reason as rural lands(for large scale industrial farming or cattle) are deserted.
It is a worldwide phenomena
That produce more deaths when floods, quakes, tornados occur.
Human civilization or management of earth is the question. sad

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

Stats wise if we huddle together in the 3% of the non ice covered land that is urbanised then we are not in the path of 97% of other natural disasters happening everyday that don't make the Global News as a result.

Don't worry about the population it will right itself before the end of the Century. The Global Population is ageing.

If our Children don't have Children we are only 100 years from being extinct as a species no matter how many of us there are today.

Many many Countries are not reproducing at a population sustaining rate. (taken to be 2.11 Children per Couple) Many more Countries will join them as life expectancies and opportunity continues to improve.

http://www.forbes.com/sites/currentevents/201...es-declining-birth-rates/

More of a Bubble than a Time Bomb

The time to go from 6 to 7 Billion was longer than 5 to 6. The Population growth is slowing and over time will go into an inevitable reverse.

I, for one, am highly unlikely to see Halley's Comet again for instance. I'd have to be twice my age!
