Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

biggrin

That guy from Natural News should give Coffee a break and try a day or 2 chilling out on Rooibos Tea

It does look like watching the Sun is going to be interesting though over the next few days

http://www.spaceweather.com/archive.php?view=...mp;month=05&year=2012 A big group of Sunspots has just come into view

This page will be worth watching

http://sdo.gsfc.nasa.gov/data/SDO_Self_Updating_6.htm

If we were going to be wiped out by Solar activity then we wouldn't have made it through the 2001-2003 period when across the last Sunspot Maximum the Sun was way more active than it is today or expected to be for quite some time

p.s. the good news that most Nuclear Power Plants, unfortunately, were built pre micro-electronics

more relays than scr's

It's just another to add to the growing list of extravagant scaremongering stories aka Super Volcano, Asteroid Impact, Mega-Tsunami, Man Made Climate Change

all to replace the void left when the ultimate scaremongering Cold War ended in 1991

Check the timelines and June 24th 1988 is the start of the hype around MMGW with Hansen's testimony to the congressional committees

http://www.nytimes.com/1988/06/24/us/global-w...pagewanted=all&src=pm

preceded by....

October 1987 Reagan and Gorbachev agree to remove all medium and short-range nuclear missiles

..a whole 7 months to stop thinking about the end of the World .. as we know it

Whoopee do

This drought is turning out to be a humdinger

Everywhere people are going about croaking "water water"

It's bank holiday Monday in the UK and, as is normally the case, the heavens opened again. It was dusk at 4:30pm here in Gloucester, black as night.

Great a day off from work and you can't go out.

Smashing I'm off for a swim. Though they have had to close one lane of the pool to save water.

It was funny back in 76 wink

Dave

Back to work today let's have a look out of the window

Ah yes glorious. Birds tweeting in the trees (no more than 140 chars) Sun shining, hints of blue sky.

So everything is right with the World

A brief respite....
