UK Officially In Droughtflood
Posted on May 1, 2012

Water companies reached for words like “irony” today to explain to 20 million customers why they should save water even as rivers overflowed, gardens were swamped and fields became lakes after a further inch of rain fell in some regions in the space of 12 hours, and 36 flood warnings remained in place. http://stevengoddard.wordpress.com/2012/05/01/uk-officially-in-droughtflood/

Cache of historical Arctic sea ice maps discovered
Posted on May 2, 2012 by Anthony Watts

Arctic Sea ice data collected by DMI 1893-1961

Guest post by Frank Lansner

I came across a number of maps showing Arctic ice extend from 1893 to 1961 collected by DMI in “Nautisk Meteorologisk Aarbog”. Each year DMI have collected information on sea ice extend so that normally each of the months April, May, June, July and August ice extend was published.

There is much more to be said about these, but this is my summary for now. http://wattsupwiththat.com/2012/05/02/cache-o...-sea-ice-maps-discovered/ this is really cool love struck --what happened to all the folks that have adopted the religion of Global Warming--like Cricket it sucks to be on the wrong team wink

Droughtflood biggrin

A new Newspeak Word

See the photos at the end of this piece about our well below normal predicted Bank Holiday Temperatures after an April colder than our warmer than normal March

I will say forever Gerald the only safe Nuclear Reactor is one that stays - firmly - on the drawing board

Oldbury went off in February let us pray it and it's brethren stay off

Tomorrow the nuclear industry of Japan will come to a stop. Only a fool would allow it to restart.

Folks go back to the first post in this thread and start reading it again

Why would anyone even consider building one on or anywhere near an active fault line? Beyond foolish. What were they thinking? (obviously they weren't)

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

I wish my power of weather prediction was a good as this

SUMMARY - PRECIPITATION:
For UK-average rainfall, the predicted probabilities slightly favour above-normal values during both May and May-June-July. However,
confidence in this prediction is not high, and there is still a significant probability of below-normal rainfall.

Awesome peace thank you UK MetOffice

Now I am fully informed I can go about my business with raincoat, sou'wester, umbrella, wellingtons, sandals, shades, shorts and factor 30 Sunblock

Cheers

Not a bad ROI for £163 Million a year

Dave this is catastrophic -- Solar flare could unleash nuclear holocaust across planet Earth, forcing hundreds of nuclear power plants into total meltdowns

Dinosaur Farts Caused Their Own Extinction Did dinosaurs cause climate change? Huge creatures may have contributed to their own demise because they produced so much flatulence
By PAMELA OWEN

Dinosaurs may be partly to blame for a change in climate because they created so much flatulence, according to leading scientists.

Professor Graeme Ruxton of St Andrews University, Scotland, said the giant animals spent 150 years emitting the potent global warming gas, methane.

Large plant-eating sauropods would have been the main culprits because of the huge amounts of greenery they consumed. http://stevengoddard.wordpress.com/2012/05/06...sed-their-own-extinction/
