Gerald

They are not clean, not safe and not carbon neutral

End of

Let's watch how much "Climate Change" pressure is brought to bear on the people of Japan as justification for switching back on Nuclear Power Stations.

..to stop the damage to the environment..Nuclear Power

Good Grief

I have changed my position on Nuclear Power--it is just to dangerous--they are supposed to start two new Nukes in Georgia i believe--

In other news, Big Carbon pointed to today's solar eclipse as proof that solar is unreliable and the United States should drill more/drill now/dig more/dig now.

biggrin love it - thanks ibsteve2u - like the spacemen who were going to land on the Sun. "It'll be alright we're going at night"

It's really brightening up now just one year away from Sunspot Maxima

Nothing wrong with Solar Power. I was on top of the roof of a Hospital in Kandahar, putting up a mast for a Nurse Paging system. There was a solar panel (not PV) for producing the Hospital's hot water. It was hissing with steam and squirting boiling water from a pressure release valve, either that or it had a leak biggrin

Not too much difference at the time between me and the Solar Panel as I seem to remember. Boy it was hot cool

My Solar Eclipse experience was in 1999 sat in a field in Devon under a cloudy sky. Even so it was unforgettable, that dip into darkness in the middle of the day. We just managed to get inside the band of totality. A communal gathering in wonder, cars abandoned and life temporarily paused - A great day. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solar_eclipse_of_August_11,_1999

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

I haven't had time to read as yet but here it is

Today's announcement from the UK's Department of Energy and Climate Change

(Yep that really is what it's called!)

http://www.decc.gov.uk/en/content/cms/meeting...ctricity/electricity.aspx

I suspect

fossil fuel bad - nuclear good

loads of lovely feed in tariffs for renewables

+ a carbon rigged market

Let me know if it isn't wink

note the forecast this year is for perfectly average much like last

It will be fun to watch how that turns out. It's backed by the UK Met Office

Al's Blog is still pushing this tall story

here's the link to Al Gores Blog http://blog.algore.com/

Never let reality get in the way of some fine propaganda

BILDERBERG CONFAB, Climate Change Alarm, Fake Envionmentalism, Worldwide Social Engineering
Chantilly, Virginia, May 31 -June 3
The attendance of Alberta Premier and global warming alarmist Alison Redford at this year’s Bilderberg conference, during which she will discuss “ecological challenges,” confirms that Agenda 21 and the bid to re-brand the stuttering climate change power grab will be core issues at the elitist confab set to take begin tomorrow.
Agenda 21 To Be Discussed at Bilderberg Confab PC 120110 415lq alison redford sn635

“According to a government news release, Redford will meet with a number of individuals to discuss topics like monetary policy, ecological challenges and responsible development of natural resources,” reports CBC News.

Redford’s attendance at the clandestine meeting of global power brokers is costing Canadian taxpayers $19,000 dollars.

Her appearance represents yet another example of how Bilderberg is not merely a talking shop but an active consensus-making forum for people in positions of power. Redford will be scheming with power brokers from foreign countries in complete secrecy and with total disregard for her democratic obligations to the Canadian people. http://www.globalresearch.ca/index.php?context=va&aid=31135
