Have a read of this Gerald http://www.dailymail.co.uk/debate/article-212...rs.html?ito=feeds-newsxml I hear that the potential £10,000 "Green Deal" loan will have to be paid back through an increase in your Electricity/Gas charges. And the improvements will be mandatory .... It's why in your declaration of Independence it says "He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harass our people and eat out their substance." Nothing has changed this side of the pond since 1776 The "Green Deal" will land on us from Autumn this year http://www.decc.gov.uk/assets/decc/legislatio...eal-summary-proposals.pdf Dave this just sounds like Agenda 21 from the UN--These people are socialists and communists devoted to one world govt--they want to cram us into small communes and control all aspects of our life--It started here when the first Bush signed on to it i think 1992--we are fighting here in our County--most people don't believe or are just ignorant--just read some of this crap http://www.un.org/esa/dsd/agenda21/res_agenda21_00.shtml-- Stopping the United Nations' Bullying http://www.cwfa.org/articledisplay.asp?id=114...y&subcategoryid=bliun [Edit 1 times, last edit by GeraldRube at Apr 12, 2012 11:48:38 PM] |

NASA Moonwalker Defies Gore's Claim That Climate Skeptics Believe Moon Landing was 'Staged'
----------------------------------------Gore’s frequent comparison of global warming skeptics to people who "believe the moon landing was actually staged in a movie lot in Arizona" was delivered a major blow when Moonwalker and Award-Winning NASA Astronaut/Geologist Jack Schmitt who flew on the Apollo 17 mission declared he was a skeptic. "The ‘global warming scare’ is being used as a political tool to increase government control over American lives, incomes and decision making. It has no place in the Society's activities," Schmitt said. See: Astronaut Jack Schmitt Joins Skeptics & For Gore, a very inconvenient moonwalker. http://epw.senate.gov/public/index.cfm?FuseAc...2a-23ad-481f-604538eaaf3f |

Amount of ice in Bering Sea reaches all-time record The amount of floating ice in the Arctic's Bering Sea - which had long been expected to retreat disastrously by climate-Cassandra organisations such as Greenpeace - reached all-time record high levels last month, according to US researchers monitoring the area using satellites.
----------------------------------------The US National Snow and Ice Data Center announced last week that ice extent in the Bering for the month of March has now been collated and compared, and is the highest seen since records began. The NSIDC boffins said in a statement: http://www.theregister.co.uk/2012/04/11/bering_sea_ice_cover/ |

I saw the Astronaut piece the other day but I figured it would best coming from a proud American take care Thanks Dave-- Imagine there's no heaven, It's easy if you try, No hell below us, Above us only sky, Imagine all the people living for today ... Imagine there's no countries, It isn't hard to do, Nothing to kill or die for, No religion too, Imagine all the people living life in peace ... Imagine no possessions, I wonder if you can, No need for greed or hunger, A brotherhood of man, Imagine all the people Sharing all the world ... You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one, I hope some day you'll join us, And the world will live as one. -- John Lennon They Don't Always Come in Black Helicopters Agenda 21, the United Nations blueprint for global transformation, might sound good to some of you. Certainly it has been welcomed by nations all around the world. Political, cultural, and media leaders have embraced this global vision of sustainable communities, where people everywhere will be healthy and safe, where social justice will be the norm, where our environment is protected, and where our children are no longer robbed of their heritage. What could be wrong with that? Why not preserve resources for the next generation? Why shouldn't we limit our own consumption and reduce our use of energy? Wouldn't it be nice if we could trade our cars in for bicycles? Shouldn't we be working toward abolishing poverty? What's wrong with establishing a global system that trains parents, monitors intolerance, and meets the needs of everyone? If it would help to save our planet, shouldn't we be willing to sacrifice an antiquated system of open markets for self-sustaining communities? If urban sprawl threatens the health of our planet, perhaps we should move out of our single-family homes and move into established human settlements, where our mark upon the earth can be limited? So many smart people say that this is a good idea. How could they be wrong? http://www.magic-city-news.com/Agenda_21_32/T...elicopters_978978.shtml-- as you can see if you read this is not only in the United States County Supervisors in Loudoun County, Virginia are considering enacting regulations that would force residents and businesses to turn off their lights as early as 9:00 P.M. to avoid “ light pollution.” Groups such as the International Dark Sky Association have successfully lobbied local governments to impose restrictions on the strength of outdoor lighting and how late certain lights can be used. In Loudoun County, a suburb of Washington, D.C., the initial policy proposed would affect all lights above 5,500 lumens. The average bulbs found in a residential home may range from 1,650 to 4,000 lumens - but those lights do not include outdoor flood lights or decorative and security lighting. The earliest restrictions would begin at 9:00 P.M. and all lights, regardless of lumens, would be required to be extinguished by midnight. Gerald this already happens over here
----------------------------------------If you are out after midnight the street lights go out and the same on the Motorways Midnight until 5am The lights on the motorway make it safer to drive at night - not if they are deliberately out Same with your personal safety when out at night Nothing to do with light pollution just £$€ I popped by to share this http://sdo.gsfc.nasa.gov//data/aiahmi/latest.php?t=aia_0304&r=512 the fallacy that the Sun is a constant is literally blown away I read some good news the other day http://www.world-nuclear-news.org/RS-Oldbury_...s_retirement-2902124.html no worries after all it was only the world's oldest operating nuclear power reactor and it was supposed to be shut down in 2008 It was my local nuke station just 28 miles away downwind Even better news is this http://www.google.com/hostednews/afp/article/...a0b9eb4f3673fcbe067be.481 Hopefully it's replacement won't get built ![]() |
