The figures below may look a little different from those previous seen in this thread as I always want to be comparing Apples with Apples.

The list of reliable 24/7 weather stations keeps falling and so I strip out the faulty ones and recalculate again (That poor PhenomII 905E)

It has been 2,351 days since a major hurricane hit the US, the longest such period on record. http://www.real-science.com/2351-days-vs-2-weeks

Obama's EPA Chief Jackson Praises UN Earth Summit: 'It is the rarest of opportunities to truly change the world...It means working together to strengthen the effectiveness of environmental governance' Read the Full Article

Lisa Jackson 20th January 2012, 'As Rio+20, the 20th anniversary of [UN's] 1992 Earth Summit, approaches in June, we have a chance to learn lessons, build partnerships and put in place innovative strategies that can reshape the economic and environmental future of our entire planet. It is the rarest of opportunities to truly change the world, and make a difference that will benefit billions of people' http://scienceandpublicpolicy.org/originals/l...ing_the_un_mission.html-- These socialists communists want to bring the the world together but not in a good way--they MUST be defeated and time is short--just look at Europe-the EU will fail!! The EPA is effectively no longer under the control of the US Congress; its allegiance is to the UN and implementation of the policies of Sustainable Development via Agenda 21. It has considerable involvement in the IPCC reports and claims the UN body as a peer reviewed authority, in pursuing ever more rigorous controls of “CO2 pollution”, to bring about the realisation of “environmental governance”.

which is why we need to fight back with

http://www.rationaloptimist.com/blog/reader's-digest.aspx

It's why I crunch along with you all on the World Community Grid.

Because I believe we can make the World better.

We are not the scourge of the Planet as we are all too often portrayed.

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

a recent statement put out by “Planet Under Pressure” several scientists call for denser cities in order to mitigate worldwide population growth. When in doubt that UN’s Agenda 21 is not the Mein Kampf of our day, one should consider yet another in-your-face confession from yet another certified biocratic control freak

According to an MSNBC article one of the scientists while speaking about human populations worldwide, stated:

“We certainly don’t want them strolling about the entire countryside. We want them to save land for nature by living closely [together].” http://www.pakalertpress.com/2012/03/30/un-ba...a-city-population-lockup/
