Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

Just something to keep an eye on

http://www.guardian.co.uk/lifeandstyle/2011/j...on-control-beckham-family

We need to make sure that the drive to depopulation doesn't take a nasty twist

My Mum was one of 11 surviving Children

I am one of 3 Children. I have a younger brother and sister.

I have 2 Children

When you know your Children will survive to adulthood and the benefits to your offspring of that smaller family are recognised then Family sizes will reduce.

When you can guarantee this to the Worlds Population then our numbers will stabilise

Knowing your Children will survive to adulthood is key.

If you lose a Child to Malaria, malnutrition or any of the Childhood illnesses that those in wealthy countries can afford to immunise against then what are you to do ?

A child born in the UK today is immunised against

Measles, Mumps Rubella, Tuberculosis, Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis, Polio, Hib, Meningitis C, Pneumonia with girls are now offered human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine against cervical cancer

If this could be offered to the World (and the only reason why not is those pieces of paper with digits on) then the likelihood that your Child will survive to adulthood improves

and then what happens?

Population up...or trending down?

Instructions: Take a Spectrometer, an both sides open glass pipe, a burning candle and a bottle with compressed CO2. Set spectrometer at one end of pipe and burning candle at other end. Watch spectrometer to see candle flame brightly burning. Slowly let a little bit of CO2 flow in the glass pipe and watch spectrometer and as CO2 increases, the candle completely disappearing from the spectrometers view, candle still burning as at start. Demonstrates that CO2 absorbs long wave radiation, mainly at 15um. Watch video for a demonstration: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=8547224522119252436# (somewhere in this 59 minute program)

I'm 100% sure it was explained to you [ad nauseam] why the stratosphere is cooling... because less heat is escaping through that column of air with ever more CO2, reaching pretty high and getting to be less vapor holding with altitude. Is it not causing questions that 0.0393% can cause about 5% known as forcing and the water vapor does almost all the rest, as feedback? Seek more comprehension here: http://www.ucar.edu/learn/1_3_1.htm

Saw a quote today of George W. Bush paraphrased "In my line of business you have to repeat, repeat again, and again before the Truth sticks". An Australian study shows that when initially something was taken in incorrectly, it was very hard to get the correction to stick: http://www.psy.uwa.edu.au/Users%20web%20pages...ents/Ecker.IP2011.PBR.pdf ... For some more times than others, of course there being those who'll never accept they were told wrong in the first place!

Meantime from the world of NIMBY, the Oklahoman's have a different experience in their yards: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/43790899/ns/weather/

Sek I have never once said that CO2 was not a so called Green House gas

It is down to the degree of influence that 0.0393% of the atmosphere that is currently CO2 that is the issue

Truly not interested in the You Said / I Said, carefully crafted post verbiage, argumentative point scoring. Did you watch the video... can't be whole as the post was made less time ago than the duration.

Did you read the CO2 IS the GHG and it's effective impact? No you haven't. CO2 heats up, passes of that heat to water vapor e.g. or directly back to earth and repeats the trick ad infinitum, never completely saturating as a total. Without the pre-industrial 280ppmv we'd be about 32C cooler. Now it's about 33C thanks to the increase to 393 ppmv, and rising!!!!

Food for though [but not for all]

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

I saw the propaganda on TV when first broadcast I don't need to watch a video of the same Sek

If you fill a tube with CO2 (possibly cold CO2 as it expands into the larger tube from it's compressed state) an infrared camera can't see a flame

and because of this

New nuclear build is the best thing since slice bread
Biofuels steal food from the hungry. Rainforests are destroyed for Biodiesel
Children live in fear for their future
and we are taxed back out of our potential.

yep I saw it

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

Is 1:28 minutes the attention span needed? That's 3x longer than a sports-bar channel flash.

A little longer temperature track than NOAA's:

Food for thought [but not for all, and longer than 1:28 minutes]

edit: Episode 3: Earth, The Climate Wars, the final 59 minutes of required attention span, really!

The issue is that you have no comprehension of numbers.

A lethal dose of polonium 210 is 50 nanograms, or 0.000000050 gram, like 50 parts per billion (European 50 parts per milliard).
That number is many more times smaller than the CO2 percentage above.
Sometimes it doesn't take much.

With CO2 we are talking about the large effect from a small absolute concentration compared to other non-greenhouse gases in the air.

Nitrogen is 78% of the air and the greenhouse gas effect is zero.

Nitrogen plus oxygen is 98% of the air and the greenhouse gas effect combined is still zero.

Lucky for you, your parents did not name you Tom and no Argu-point score by you. Same as your kid time's cloud-room experiment, this spectrometer-glass pipe-candle-CO2 gas demonstration was not a controlled environment experiment... how predictable to bring up puh puhing of the expanding gas cooling effect. The conclusive ''controlled environment'' tests were done in the 50s, in the same decade that Keeling developed his apparatus [today still the reference calibration setup] to measure the exact parts of CO2 in the air. The first tests were done by Langley in 1890, aiming his instruments at the moon at different alleviations over the [starry] horizon and Arrhenius doing the calculations in 1896.

Children live in fear, because their parents did not take care of a good outlook of the future... dancing around the turd in the bowl.... Can't Touch This]. Children thinking "Why did they not do something about the turd?"

Meantime, the globe continues to warm, and [handwaving] propaganda for inaction continues, by YOU. The Sea Ice and Snow thinks differently [don't know if there's intelligence in that design either, some messages maybe not arriving], not abiding by David's unscientificie fallable logic.

July 18, 2011 7,155,156 km square at this mornings update, 1,065,938 km square less than 10 days ago, a new July record breaker of decline, after such a terrible winter and the sun lingering in a 100 year low... hmmm, Maunder or Dalton minimum, the effect is just 0.2C to 0.3C and still 2010 was a record year and 2011 heading for breaking that. Many tens of millions in the Southern US are feeling it... read in your team thread of 117F. Do you think anything grows in those temps that normally grows there. Interested about the ¨not so¨ record harvests that are not growing out there... something akin to what Russia saw in 2010 and ran up world food prices... yes, there are 7 billion to feed.

Food for though [but not by all]

P.S.: The 1880-Present temperature chain by GISS. Readers will start to see a likeness with the previous 2 posted temp charts by NOAA and HadleyCRU. Can you see it?

P.P.S: George W. Bush was not exactly a luminary president, but he was right about "See, in my line of work you got to keep repeating things over and over and over again for the truth to sink in, to kind of catapult the propaganda.". He also said "You can fool some of the people all of the time; and those are the ones you have to concentrate on." Feeling fooled by Rupert, or are the feelings more acute? Will Cameron (the top) now be voted out? Who´s in charge you think (Davos Group, BildenBerg, Illuminati, Free Masons) or the really not so low key, right in our faces?
