Hurricanes suck up cold water from the deep ocean, helping to cool the air again, that's where most planetary heat is stored... in the oceans, but that's when the hurricane has passed. edit: plural

Hi Gerald
----------------------------------------I didn't see the original but I find it unbelievable that a Man talking about the loss of his Wife through Cancer would edited by the management of this forum. Me I am too close to the event to express anything but anger at the moment. Sue passed away only 2 weeks ago - this is what I mean when I say real life has intervened. She fought it to the end but I now have real doubts as to the current benefits of Chemo This is my very raw reaction and I apologise if my words cause anyone offence or upset. My Brother is now finding his way along with his 2 Daughters, Grace and Mary. Just been chatting on Oovoo with him and the Girls. They are being very philosophical about life. Sue gave them all a great strength of spirit to take on all that this world can throw at you. This great project must keep striving for results in all of the projects we have the chance to contribute to. Let's hope the green brigade don't bring it to a halt as people are made unable to give or the literal power for long term success is curtailed. Keep those CPU's glowing and the fans a blowing, to a future of real progress, while we still can. It is gravely needed. Dave ![]() |

Today another finding you of course missed as spin off on those stolen emails.
----------------------------------------The last part of the Penn State inquiry has now reported unanimously that Mike Mann did not engage in any activity that violated scientific norms. Quoting from the report conclusions, Thursday, July 1, 2010 Conclusion of the Investigatory Committee as to whether research misconduct occurred: The Investigatory Committee, after careful review of all available evidence, determined that there is no substance to the allegation against Dr. Michael E. Mann, Professor, Department of Meteorology, The Pennsylvania State University. More specifically, the Investigatory Committee determined that Dr. Michael E. Mann did not engage in, nor did he participate in, directly or indirectly, any actions that seriously deviated from accepted practices within the academic community for proposing, conducting, or reporting research, or other scholarly activities. The decision of the Investigatory Committee was unanimous.

----------------------------------------Gerald you've been a very naughty boy I see Sek so scientific norms now mean allowing for the inclusion of various fiddle factors until you get the result you are looking for This declaration is a tragedy for science For a more balanced view http://views.washingtonpost.com/climate-chang...perin_a_pennsylvania.html I mean it's not like Mann's Hockey Stick Graph isn't the most iconic rendering of a data series since time began or anything important like something used to predict that we are all doomed or anything significant like that now is it Tom Sawyer should get them to help paint his fence - it's great fun you know Dave ![]() |
