Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

Eso you have seen my response

aka Sam

I am appalled.

Today I really feel the crushing power of the state. Some days it takes all of your strength just to stand upright and keep on going.

It basically amounts to "Keith, Michael and Phil play nicely with the other Kids and try to be good. Run along now and don't forget to be back for Tea"

Sickening in light of the impact on every Man, Woman and Child of all the legislation and wrong thinking that will now be justified off the back of this review.

Appalled

So, it was an independent review until they concluded there was no wrongdoing. And now they are part of the conspiracy?

No Eso it was never an independent review except in name

I just thought/hoped that someone somewhere, when given the chance, might have the ..... to expose the truth. The truth that is plain for all to see within the emails now in the public domain

Right. So you thought it was valid until they disagreed with you, and now it's suddenly not valid. Can we say backpeddling?

No back peddling whatsoever. It is quite clear in the review that in each case when the information was held up to the light they chose, in every case, to say "Nothing to see here" exactly the same as every other review. As I say I had hoped for better from an Independent Review

No. There's really nothing there.

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

For DA (or should we now say SM): The NSIDC published their June 2010 Rotten Sea Ice assessment. Something about a present Arctic Dipole condition, the same that had 2007 turn into record loss of the frozen water stuff. Reminded me of that movie with Donald Sutherland and Julie Christie: "Don't look Now"

http://nsidc.org/arcticseaicenews/index.html

The image I've coined "The Recovery that wasn't". No back-peddling here... we peddle forward unimpeded from Bremerhaven to Vladivostok in a little. Beluga shipping is ready to start the engines and run at top knots... saved them a bundle last year... their ships went where no commercial shipper had gone before, in the briefest of time.

edit: fixed the link

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

PS.

My entomology reference book suggest back pedal, by bike or back peddle, on water and in below's quote it's clearly established that the prior position suffered a 180 degree change of appearance, no matter what.
Ciao.
Literally, backpedaling means pedaling a bicycle in reverse so that you travel backwards. In a figurative sense, it means that after you have said something you wish you hadn't said, you begin to deny that you said it, or claim that you didn't really mean what you said, or claim that the other person misunderstood you, etc.

Benzene had the right idea with "tentare di nascondere il suo comportamento precedente."

Ciao.

Another "Lost in translation", but it still is ice that was too thin to skate on and sure enough, a wet suite would have been the appropriate attire on this stolen email escapade. I remember the word "obfuscation" once being used. Watch out for that green line, DA/SM.

Sek just wait and see it is too early to call.

This year it has been higher and currently lower than the Satellite record. Currently the temps north of 80 degrees are perfectly normal if not slightly below http://ocean.dmi.dk/arctic/meant80n.uk.php. The Sea Ice loss could go the way of 2007 or the way of 2006 neither of us can know which way

I would tend to believe 2006 because of the continuing low solar activity, 2010's volcanic activity and the reducing Sea Surface temperatures after the El Nino.

You are more likely to believe it will be worse than 2007 because the CO2 levels are currently 390 parts per million.

The rate of melt is slowing once again as we pass through to the other side of NH Summer solstice.

Let's wait and see before you claim we are all doomed

The Global Picture shows an almost 0 anomaly

NO DA, we're not going to wait for you. The world moves on as has more important things on hand than your basely accusations of mal-intend by the scientists. You've been riding the horse, but you've been sitting on it holding it's tail.
