EDIT: I went back and looked at the IBP spec's and you are correct ... it had an onboard card. I guess the 8500's I have came out of the HP's. Sorry about that. I will be glad to send you a 8500 free of charge with a 100% No money back gaurantee!!! Meanwhile I will look for my senility medication. ![]() DM -- thanks, but I will pass on it. The paralysis in my hands prevents me from working on them. Maybe my next system. What's your next system going to be Dave? Dr. Mike.. It will probably be a spur of the moment decision Is there any other way? That's how I got all the parts for a new build. I swear that Newegg is customizing their email only sales to ones browsing and buying history. I keep getting sales on things I want. Power supply and memory came today. MoBo arrives tomorrow.![]() are you building a wcg or gpu cruncher? Dr. Mike.. Well, with AQUA compatible with older graphics cards, any machine is both these days! |

BTW: The old 8500GT is 37% complete @ 26 hours ... not bad for an old clunker. The 9800GT has only 38 minutes to go @ 29 hrs to complete my first 3.17 wu. It looks to be a well behaved project. ![]() |

collected Thanks Dave. My laptop is on its way to Memphis and should be there in the morning. It's really a question of how soon they can repair it. Party line is always 5-7 days but the other time I sent it in to have the fan replaced, they fixed it and sent it back out the same day. Sorry for not having the stats posted despite this folks. |

The 9800GT completed @ 29.03 hours and 59,514.74 credits. More than GPUGrid.
---------------------------------------- Bad new is they are currently out of AQUA_CUDA alpha test work. Hope some follows soon. ![]() EDIT: 873943 663879 1 Jun 2009 20:19:52 UTC 3 Jun 2009 1:51:23 UTC Completed and validated 72,057.00 297.57 59,514.74 I had to look at it again to be sure I was not off a decimal place. ![]() ![]() [Edit 2 times, last edit by Dataman at Jun 3, 2009 2:09:58 AM] |

My wu's are the d-wave adibatic quantum algorithms (whatever that is). I just got a really nasty yoyo wu, too. 108 hours to completion. Also, AQUA is now running on the CPU since I let a GPUGrid wu finish. The CPU Time on the AQUA wu is 1276 hours! It has a report deadline of 26 Aug 09! LOL I hope I don't get too many of those!

They only have the one science. Mind boggling credits ... I think I'll burn my cpus The AQUA job will finish early I suspect. I've hadd some of those. Usually around 24 hours. I had one today @ 28 hours ... good credits though. ![]() |

Otherwise it is going to take 53 days for that one wu. Awesome points, though. I thought I was reading it wrong at first. ![]()

I guess we should enjoy this while it last as it can't last long. AQUA is going to get heavy flack from BOINC and the DC world for this amount of credits. They went from 1/100th of GPUGrid to 10X GPUGrid. Jeezz, if I run my whole CPU farm ... balls-to-the wall ... I can do 60K/day. 60K on one card for one day. I am speachless .....................
----------------------------------------It occurs to me that -Karman (Boinc Admin) may have just switched from CPU time to clock time. If that is the case my 8500GT in three days will get 150K credits ... This will be interesting ... nothing like a new project.I'm so excited I can't type and have to edit. ![]() ![]() [Edit 2 times, last edit by Dataman at Jun 3, 2009 2:35:02 AM] |
